Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Carolyn Mott Ford
This book contains many stories of animals rescuing, protecting or assisting humans, some of which are amazing. Animal lovers will also enjoy the stories and anecdotes about the devotion some animals have towards one another and may find the resource guide useful.
Children's Literature - Judy Silverman
This team has created (so far) four "Bang on the Door" books-Slug, Brain Cell, Bat, and Spider. This series of riddles (obvious with the answers), one-liners, rhymes, and very simple stories, is absolutely adorable. Anyone from third or fourth grade up will love the story of Slug, who ate anything that "looked remotely green," the unloved Spider, and the fashionable Bat. Brain Cell "was so brainy he talked in riddles and rhyme;" and his riddles are answered in rhyme. These four books are so clever that we'd really love to see more, and everyone will love the pictures.
