Overview

Often times, there are stories that need to be told to change the world. Sometimes, there are tales meant to shape lives, to inspire progress, or to provide the spark of imagination needed to incite revolution. And sometimes, there are just stories for the sake of stories. Like these. Smack Dab will put you right in the middle of all the little ideas that have crawled out of Scott Morse's head and into various anthologies over the past four years, only to be captured for all eternity and caged up in this squarebound prison of paper! From genetically engineered pickles to insect-riding foo fighters, these surreal short stories will tug at the heartstrings and boggle the mind. A must for the library of any short fiction collector! Scott Morse is the acclaimed creator of the Soulwind series, and he is the publisher behind the Crazyfish/MJ-12 line being distributed by Oni Press. His other work for Oni Press has included the Volcanic Revolver trade paperback, a one-shot comic based on Jim Jarmusch's film Ghost Dog, and summer 2000's Voodoom with Jim Mahfood.

Beyond that, Morse has published Loud Cannoli and the Substance Affect anthology through Crazyfish, created the Littlegreyman and Eisner Award-nominated Visitations graphic novels for Image, and is developing a series with his character Ancient Joe at Dark Horse Comics. He has been the art director on two Cartoon Network animated series, I Am Weasel and the Emmy-nominated Cow & Chicken, and is currently entering production on his own series for Cartoon Network, Ferret & Parrot, as well as heading up the animation department for the internet entertainment site Thrave.com.Smack DAB is part of the Crazyfish/MJ-12 imprint being distributed by Oni Press.
