I cant tell you why I loved this book so much as a child but it was so much fun to read. It is one of the most memoriable books of my childhood. After chatting with a friend of mine of most favorite childhood books I decided to hunt it down and the cover is exactly as i remembered. Good thing BN has classics! After all these years I plan to share it with my own children and hope they enjoy it as much as I did.

I knew the words by heart when I was 4. It was a must have when I had kids. My 13 year old still speaks with pride about his 'brown bag book report' in 1st grade. The last prop he pulled out was a plastic pig stuck into plaster of paris. A+ and the beginning of much accidemic success!

My brother and I recited this book over and over as children. After 30 years, I can still remember how it goes. It is a family favorite that I look forward to passing on to family and friends.

My daughter and I loved this book. Zoe said she thinks everyone should buy this book and read it. It is a wonderful woven story about a pig who wants to move to a different mud section when the farmer's wife cleans up his mud! He ends up in mud on the sidewalk!
