Smart Women, Foolish Choices: Finding the Right Men and Avoiding the Wrong Ones

Overview

Why is it that so many women have everything going for them-except satisfying personal relationships? In this breakthrough book, two clinical psychologists reveal the surprising answers. Writing from a much-needed male point of view, the authors tell why smart women are almost magnetically drawn to the wrong men, and how they can change their love-defeating attitudes to open up new opportunities for romantic happiness.

Great book, helped me realize my daddy syndrome

I love this book now, the reason I say now is because when reading it I felt like someone had followed me around and wrote about my life. I had a verbally abusive father, and one I read this book I realized that all the men I had been dating somehow reminded me of him. Once I broke that pattern I met my husband of now 6 years.

    Puts the blame on women

The 'smart women' was only a tongue in cheek comment. The book puts the blame on women suggesting the problem lies in the fact that women do not give men of whom don't appeal to them a long enough chance. Men can learn from this advice as well, but that being said, there is nothing more to learn from this book. With the authors being men, if a woman has a low self esteem and is feeling frustrated with men's treatment of them as women, this book is only going to make them feel more rejected by men.
