Thord Daniel Hedengren is addicted to words, which led him to launch his first online newsletter in 1996. It all went downhill from there, with dozens of sites and a career as an editor and freelancer in Sweden and abroad.

    Excellent resource for starting out with WordPress

    I usually judge a technical book by its ability to answer my questions thoroughly and accurately, and this book does just that. I've had a WordPress blog for quite a while, but I didn't understand the general components of the WordPress architecture or how I should really be using my blog site. This book started out with the installation and general architecture, but then dove into all the special bits that really make WordPress explode. WordPress is a very open and accommodating platform, which can be intimidating if you don't understand what you're doing. This book breaks that barrier. It not only tells you how to set up an existing template, but also how to tweak it or even develop your own! For those who are starting out or even for those who are trying to get more out of an existing site, this book is a good reference without the technical intimidation.
