Overview

Major Adam Winters is about to redeploy to Afghanistan after recovering from a roadside bomb one year ago. Although physically healed he knows it will be tough for any woman to overlook his missing leg, burns, and shrapnel scars. But Jen is no ordinary woman.

Sergeant Jennifer Flynn, an Army mechanic and a military driver, befriended Adam as his difficult recovery began a year ago. She never once pitied him. Instead she has the hots for him. Big time! She has one night before he redeploys to do something about it.

Can these two get together before it's too late?

(Excerpt)

"I was thinking about your kiss," he said, out of the blue.

Jen squeaked. Adam smiled at this. He wanted to bring her to the edge, release a little, and then back to the edge. He'd do it as long as he could.

He was rock hard and had been since he felt her body against his. She would be a delicious lover, no doubt. Expressive, passionate. Would she see the scars? Would she care about his missing leg?

He didn't think she would, but it was something he grappled with on a daily basis. In his mind she loved every inch of him, scar or not, and slivered up and down, touching, licking, kissing, fucking.

"I was also thinking about how you would look naked."

He heard her intake of breath. She was trying to sound unaffected. Like this was a normal everyday conversation.

Jen said something under her breath. Probably a curse word. He wasn't so sure of himself. Perhaps he was coming on too strong. He didn't want to scare her off. Jen didn't seem like the type to be a stickler for the rules, as officers and enlisted were not allowed to date each other, but she had expressed to him that she planned to stay in the Army for many more years to come.

Some fantasies aren't meant to come to life.
