The local, state and Federal law enforcement officers are alive and real, the background information about the key team members brings home the personal reality for each professional involved. And, as if that weren't enough, there is intricate detail in the book that allowed me to create a day-by-day, graphic case reconstruction Time Line showing geographic movement (state-to-state), punctuated by the senseless acts of murder that terrorized most of the country. Don't begin this book too late in the day or you will be up all night ... I couldn't put it down.

This is one of the most inspiring books I have read. It is incredible! I was taken behind the scenes of the people who really did the case (not Charles Moose). This book is so amazingly well written with incredible detail not known. Thank you Horwitz and Ruane.

Sniper is the definitive account of those alleged gunmen, John Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo, and the massive manhunt that ended with their capture by a heavily armed SWAT team in an early-morning raid at an interstate highway rest stop.
