Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marcie Flinchum Atkins
Snorp is a window washer who cleans windows with his tongue. His boss gives him the day off, and he hits the ski slopes to learn how to snowboard. This fun adventure turns into several mishaps for Snorp. First, he cannot figure out how to stop, so he uses his talented tongue to hang onto the ski lift. Then his tongue gets stuck to the metal, and he has to be pried off, which leads to a visit to the hospital for stitches. A hilariously illustrated and told story, this book would be a great easy reader to give to a reluctant reader. It has a mix of fantasy and slapstick humor that boys will especially find funny. This level three book is part of the "Stone Arch Readers" leveled reading books and is part of the "Monster Friends" extended series. The book includes a note to parents and caregivers that includes tips on how to help them with their young reader, including what types of questions to ask and things to point out.
