The woman Dillon was on his way to see is...Stacy. They've been friends for some time but now there's an added complication. Stacy's in love with him. Which means Chantel can't pursue a relationship with Dillon. Even when she discovers she's pregnant because of that snowy night...
After almost a decade of success as a model, a tired Chantel Miller leaves New York to meet her sister Stacey in Tahoe. Chantel, desperately seeking penance, needs to reconcile with her remaining living relative. Realistically, she knows the difficulty she faces because ten years ago Chantel stole Stacey¿s boyfriend.
A snowstorm makes the final stretch of driving dangerous and Chantel plows her Jaguar into the SUV of Dillon Broderick. They exchange insurance information and drive their separate ways. However, after leaving I 80, Chantel becomes lost and stuck in the snow. Not having her sister¿s number, she calls Dillon for help. When he reaches her, she is nearly frozen to death. However, his land cruiser is stuck too and no help will come until morning. They spend the night in his vehicle, but he is forced to strip off her wet clothes so she will not freeze to death. To keep warm, they first hug each other, but soon make love and fall in love. However, although she becomes pregnant, he is Stacy's boyfriend.
SNOW BABY is an extremely entertaining contemporary romance due to the wonderful characters who heat even the below zero wind chill factor that accompanies the snowstorm. The story line is crisp and the interplay between the lead charcaters and the extended family members (her sister and his two small daughters) add to an overall enjoyable read. Hopefully Brenda Novak provides Stacey¿s story soon.
Harriet Klausner

Chantel Miller left New York, her boyfriend, Wade, and her modeling career. She wanted nothing more than to make up with her only living relative, her sister, Stacy. But Wade was the reason for the break up ten years ago. Chantel had stolen Wade from Stacy and ran away to New York. While Chantel¿s career had been very successful, Wade¿s had not and he was using her.

On the way to meet Stacy though, a snowstorm caused havoc! She ran into Dillon Broderick¿s vehicle. After exchanging information and continuing on, Chantel got lost and called Dillon¿s cell number in desperation. By the time he found her, she was almost frozen to death. The police could not get through until morning. Dillon and Chantel spent the night together to survive and ended up finding love. The problem began the next day, when Chantel found out that Dillon was Stacy¿s boyfriend! History may repeat itself. Wade also showed up to cause trouble. And Dillon¿s ex-wife abandons their two little girls! Chaos rules!

*** AWESOME! I could not put this one down, readers! Highly recommended! Brenda Novak has always been an author I look for on the book shelves, and this one is a perfect example as to why! Her characters are realistic, charming, and have a life of their own! Don¿t miss out! ***
