One of the greatest childhood stories I've read! It helped shape

One of the greatest childhood stories I've read! It helped shape me into the outdoorsy mountain backpacking/hiking/exploring guy I've become. Jim Kjelgaard is an amazing writer of children's adventure stories. There's not really a bad one in the bunch, but this particular book (and its sequel Wild Trek) were particularly wonderful.

Wonderful story about link who accidentally traps his dream dog and how Chiri finally gives his heart to him. If you liked this book you should love its sequal Wild trek.
