I bought this with the intention of it being a quick beach read, but upon finishing I can't help but feel very disappointed. Reimagining a fairytale grants an author a well-known story in which they can unleash their creativity, and I feel like every opportunity to create something new in this tale was promptly ignored by the author. The story was beyond simplistic and meandered along; it felt like a string of random scenes strung together rather than one coherent planned-out story. The charcterization was more or less nonexistent, and I didn't feel any more connected to the characters by the end of the story than I did when I started; very one-dimensional. Overall, big disappointment. I definitely don't recommend spending your money on this.

Let's be honest, this book wasn't very good. I pre-ordered this book months ago and was super excited for it. I wound up seeing the movie before the book was released. Let me just say if you've seen the movie don't buy this book. You will be SEVERELY disappointed. Basically, you will be reading exactly what you watched...just more dull and boring. There is no character development, it was bland. and just plain bad. If you want a quick easy read that you'll forget about then go for this book. But if you want something worthwhile, meaningful, and captures your attention spend your money elsewhere. This is one circumstance where the book is not as good as the movie. I really cannot stress how dull this book was. Huge disappointment.

This was my first book read by lily blake and i should say it was a very good book it had lots of action but i would have liked to see a different ending though but all in all it was a great book and i think alot of people would like this book

this book is just a simple retelling of the snow white fairy tale. it did bring anything new or interesting to the characters or to the story itself. also it is not many pages long. i was very dissappointed.
