Overview

Adrian Blackstone built a million-dollar business with hard work and determination—and by remaining professional at all times. Denying his longtime attraction to his beautiful executive assistant hasn't been easy but it's necessary. She's indispensable, and he can't stand the thought of losing her if things didn't work out.

For more than a year, Rachel Carter has been quietly dreaming of all the ways she'll never seduce her sexy, buttoned-up boss. She's worked too hard to get where she is to cross that line, no matter how badly she'd like to act on her fantasies. But then a wicked snowstorm leaves them stranded in a romantic winter wonderland…

What begins as a single kiss and a few bad Santa jokes turns into a weekend full of breathless passion and hopes for something more. But with Monday comes a return to their complicated reality—and Adrian must prove that promises made are promises kept, especially at Christmastime.

Full review can be found at: thegirlbookaholic.blogspot.comIf your looking for a book that will help you hold on to the last bit of Christmas spirit then this is the one. This book is a great book to read during this holiday season and it reminds me of the Christmas movies they pass on the Hallmark or Lifetime channels. This books is an easy and romantic book to read. The story line was somewhat predictable but it was sweet none the less. I enjoyed reading about Adrian and Rachel's characters because of their dilemmas; however I believe that the story could have been longer so that there could have been more character development and story development as well. I did enjoy the romance between the characters and found it to be sweet, especially after all their thinking gets out of the way and they follow their hearts. Overall, it's just a fun and easy to that you can read in one sitting while reading a hot beverage.

This was a very cute Christmas romance and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Adrian Blackestone is Rachel Carter's very sexy boss but she loves her job so you don't sleep with the boss. Adrian thinks Rachel is sexy as hell but you don't make moves on your employees. That is until they get snowed in on a work trip. See what happens after a couple of drinks and some very bad jokes.

    Short and sweet.

This is a quick holiday read. I'd have loved it if it was longer, but I didn't feel like it was rushed.

Snowbound with the CEO is a delightful look at what happens when you mix business and pleasure. Even though it is a novella it manages to fit in a heartwarming story in a small holiday package. Adrian and Rachel are fantastic together – they have great chemistry and make a witty, charming couple. I loved seeing them finally give in to their desires and act on their attraction, and Stacey does a fantastic job of making it believable and realistic. Then the weekend is over. Misunderstandings and miscommunications abound (of course), but Stacey brings it all back together beautifully. Full review available at Romantic Reads and Such on wordpress.

I can finally say that I've popped my Shannon Stacey cherry beca

I can finally say that I've popped my Shannon Stacey cherry because Snowbound With the CEO was my first by this author! I haven't read a Shannon Stacey book, but have heard great things about this author's works so when I saw Snowbound With the CEO up on Netgalley I decided to request it out of curiosity. I was not only curious, but I'm a sucker for office romance stories plus Snowbound With the CEO is a Christmas theme story so I couldn't pass it up.

The book description already summarized the story perfectly so I'll just dive right into my review. First off, I thought that this was a fairly nice story. I enjoyed watching Adrian and Rachel's budding romance unfold and liked how they eventually gave into the attraction after many years working alongside each other. Their story was cute, sweet and with just the right amount of sexy.

There was little drama involved and everything worked out easily in the end. Though I'll have to say this story was very predictable and I'm sad to say Snowbound With the CEO didn't stand out to me. The reason being is that I have read numerous stories with a similar plot line and unfortunately nothing really made this story stand out from all the rest. It was a nice read of course, but it needed something a little extra to make the story shine and be memorable.

In the end, reading Snowbound With the CEO was quite a pleasant experience. It may not be a story that stays with me long after the last page is turned, but as I was reading I did find myself enjoying it. I just expected a little more from the story. Readers looking for a light, fast-paced and sweet romance to pass the time may find Snowbound With the CEO the right story for them.

    Just average

    ## I didn't dislike this book per se, it just didn't thrill me. A little boring I'm sad to say. Sure, it was cute and I did love the strong, capable heroine (3 stars for her) but it just fizzled instead of sizzled. For the hero to think it's no big deal that he brought a date to the company Chistmas party after spending 3 days in bed with the heroine was just.....stupid. of course without that stupidity, there would be no conflict. No conflict, no book. Catch 22 I suppose. Ok but not great (66 pages).

Adrian Blackstone didn't grew up having everything at his dispos

Adrian Blackstone didn't grew up having everything at his disposal, he worked hard to build his million-dollar business empire, but although he now has succeeded in the business world, he doesn't have what he wants the most. Having worked with his assistant, Rachel Carter for sixteen months without showing his affection towards her has been difficult to maintain for Adrian, yet he knows that he can't ruin their professional job.

Rachel Carter has had a crush on her boss, Adrian Blackstone for a while, but she knows that mixing their professional life with a romantic one is not going to end up well. Yet she is still willing to hide her feelings for him, but little did she know that they will end up getting stranded in the middle of the mountains due to a snowstorm. What begins as a typical work day, ends up with them getting closer by the end of the night and they have to choose whether hiding their feelings is the right thing to do after spending the night together.

Although this is novella and it was short, I really enjoyed reading it. The author did a good job describing the conflict and the resolution of the story in the novella. The story was well-written and engaging as well. Adrian is a hard working men that really fought his way to the top, and now having accomplish everything that he wanted in his career, he is able to focus on what his heart wants. On the other hand, Rachel is a funny character, she has a sense of humor that immediately captivates Adrian and their chemistry is undeniable. The ending was spot on and I highly recommend the book to those that want something short and sweet, filled with the Christmas spirit. :)

Snowbound with the CEO is a perfect, quick winter read. It's definitely everything I look for in a novella. I also have to say that I was pleasantly surprised, this was my first Shannon Stacey book and you can bet I will be reading her in the future. What was wonderful about this book was, what I call the "sweet heat." You get the sweetness between the couple but, also some heat as well.

I know we all love an alpha man but, I think Adrian Blackstone is my new favorite type of hero. He's very hot, very sweet and extremely sexy. It was a nice break from the angsty, "he-man" routine. And Rachel Carter is everything you could ask for in a heroine. She's got the no-mess attitude but, the soft side when it comes to her man. This book serves up a heated weekend, stuck in the mountains. Yes, there's regular winter activities to do but, Adrian and Rachel would rather snuggle up with one another. While they haven't given in to their attraction before this fated trip, they have lusted for quite some time, making their eventual relationship much more explosive. And I as a reader thoroughly enjoyed every bit of their journey.

I love a good office romance, and this one definitely delivered. It may have been a bit predictable but, still enjoyable. What made it different and/or better was the characters and their demeanor. Shannon Stacey has created very lovable and likable characters that I got invested in. And let me just add that the epilogue was so lovely that I read it twice :) I'd definitely say that Snowbound with the CEO is a should-read for the holidays!

    Happy Reading!

    Cute

This book was cute...it was however way too short. I know it was just a novella but they fell into bed then struggled and the next thing you read is they are married. I loved the characters is why I am giving 4 stars. It is still a good "quick read"
