There’s nothing like a hot kiss on a cold day…

Librarian Maureen O’Connell might have predicted she’d find herself crying into the ice cream case at the supermarket after a bad breakup—but she definitely never imagined that a guy hot enough to melt the Rocky Road would flirt with her right there in the freezer aisle. Only Gavin Fraser isn’t a fantasy, he’s a mouth-watering new flavor…

When a freak snowstorm strands Maureen at Gavin’s after just one date, it’s a perfect excuse for something a lot steamier than hot chocolate in front of the fire. It’s definitely lust. Can it also be love?

This book was 74 pages for $2.99. Ridiculous to charge that amount for 74 pages. This author should be ashamed of herself for charging that much for 74 pages. And it's not the only book that she's charged that amount for. This is the second of her books to be that expensive and under 100 pages. Barnes and Noble needs to advertise up front how many pages are in something before we buy something on a pre-order status. I wouldn't have bought this and wish I could get my money refunded.

This was a quick, fun, and cute read. From the first page I was pulled into the story and pretty much smiled through the entire novella. I read this in a little over an hour, but the story didn't lack. I felt like I got to know the characters and I liked them. Gavin and Maureen had great chemistry, and the neighbor Pippa was too funny. I'd love a neighbor like her. Lots of funny, cute, and sexy dialogue. My favorite line (and it was hard to choose because there were so many) was "She hated to see him go, but she loved to watch him leave." If you're looking for a ligth read that'll leave you smiling...grab this novella!

3.5 out of 5 stars Need something to read while you are wrapped in your favorite blanket in front of the fire sipping hot cocoa?  This one is a good choice.   Yes, this couple gets “snowed in” but the temperature between them keeps things HOT!   I liked this couple.  She is attempting to get over the heartbreak of a broken relationship.  He is just too good to be true!  I have heard of the grocery story pick up, but this one . . . *sigh* How come I never find something like this at the grocery store?   The next door neighbor adds some interesting levity.  She was a kick.  Adored her.  I want to be like her when I grow up.  *grin*   So get the cocoa, your favorite blanket, curl up and enjoy.  A nice evening read.  I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for.

I loved the humor in this book, very entertaining. It was definitely a light, quick to the point book. The heroine getting bumped in the beginning was just some of the humor in the novella. I really enjoyed this book, especially getting to know Maureen. I never cried in the frozen section staring at Ice Cream, but I am sure some of us have. I also loved Pippa, she was full of spunk, and added a lot of giggles to the novella. She reminded me a lot of the elders in our lifetime. There is something about them that they give us these little quirky moments that we will eventually thank them later for. I also enjoyed the characters personalities, they each had their own. You got to know them, even with it being such a short story. I will be looking for more of Sarah, loved her writing, she caught my eye with just the cover, and my heart with her characters.

Sexy and fun novella filled with great dialogue, hot scenes and even a quirky old lady neighbor! Perfect quick read for an afternoon. This is the first book I've read in the series, but now I want to go back and read the other two books. ARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Goodness! If I could give this book more stars I would! Wonderful, wonderful story! Maureen gets dumped by her boyfriend so while shopping in the ice cream section of the story, sobbing over the breakup, Gavin, our hero, finds her. This is a short story but a wonder addition to your library. Sweet, sexy and just plain awesome. I have now discovered a new author to read.

Maureen, who was recently dumped by her boyfriend of 2 years, was standing in front of the ice cream aisle at the grocery store crying her eyes out when she found herself coming face to face with a hunky goddess. The hunky goddess managed to get her to smile and gave her a smoking hot kiss which caused Maureen to make a hasty exit out of the store before hunky goddess could react further. Since kissing Maureen, Gavin hasn't been able to get her out of his mind and found himself visiting the grocery store to try his luck at finding her. As it turns out, sometimes you need Cupid's help and that came in the form of a spunky, elderly woman who is Gavin's neighbor. She needed help to get to the grocery store and there, he saw Maureen exiting the store and there's nothing that's gonna stop him from asking her out on a date. They got on to that date and got themselves caught in a snowstorm that went on for the entire weekend. Gavin was easy to love. I love the protectiveness he felt for Maureen even though he's only known her for a short time. Their chemistry was combustible but believable and heartwarming. Definitely a book to get curled up and cozy reading with or without being snowed in. Many thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, what a totally awesome novella from "new to me" author Sarah Title! Snowed In traps you right from the beginning and the exciting commotion never wavers. The two primary characters, librarian Maureen O’Connell and business consultant Gavin Foster, have instant chemistry and their journey is replete with desire, hopefulness and love. Ms. Title is an excellent storyteller and her words kept me smirking, engaged and entertained. Maureen and Gavin meet at the grocery store where they share a little flirtation and an amazing hot kiss in the ice cream aisle. Maureen is in a vulnerable place right now because her boyfriend of two years just dumped her, so she beelines it out of the store before Gavin can even think about asking her out. Due to some interference from Gavin's spunky neighbor, they end up going out on a date, which turns into an entire weekend due to the predicted snowstorm that they completely forgot about. This is both a fun and passionate love story. Ms. Title perfectly combines heat, drama and humor into this short romantic read. I immediately connected with both Maureen and Gavin, and there was never a moment that I did not want them to be together. Pippa, Gavin's elderly neighbor, is a total riot. Her spunky antics and personality had me laughing out-loud on many occasions. Overall, this is a terrific book with a happy ending that will leave a smile on your face. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

This is a quick, fun, sexy read that was thoroughly entertaining. After a particularly bad break-up Maureen O'Connell does what any recently dumped woman does - heads to the ice cream aisle. Who would have thought she would find herself being flirted with by an extremely hot guy? One date and one snowstorm later things are getting pretty steamy, but could this lead to something more?? Amazing what you can find in the grocery store these days! I really liked this novella and I highly recommend you give it a try.

I want a neighbor like Pippa! Anyone know where I can find one? *grins* This isn't actually a story about Pippa, although she is the most hilarious secondary character I've met in a while. This is a story about Maureen and Gavin who meet in the ice cream section of their local grocery story. Now, Maureen had just been dumped by her longtime boyfriend because he wasn't feelin' it, whatever the hell that meant, which is why she was standing in the frozen aisle crying her eyes out. To be honest, her ex wasn't worth the tears. I mean, what kind of sorry SOB dumps their significant other after having sex with them? While they're both still naked? Uh... Really?! The flipside to encountering a moron like Maureen's ex is that the man who makes her smile is nothing like her ex. Gavin is completely likeable. He saw Maureen at the store and did his best to cheer her up with comments, compliments, and observations. While their conversation made me smile, their kiss (yup, they kissed right there in the grocery store after knowing each other for all of five minutes!) blew me away. It was everything Maureen needed in that moment, and became everything Gavin wanted from that moment on. I like how they didn't spend all of their time when they were snowed in, in bed. I mean, they did enjoy exploring each other intimately but they did more than just have sex. They spent time together outside of bed. They shoveled snow for Gavin's neighbor, talked about themselves. They even spent a little time apart so Gavin could work. And, amazingly, these scenes didn't feel rushed or awkward. As an avid reader, I think it's awesome when an author can write everyday scenes that are as natural and smooth as these were. Probably my favorite part was Maureen's meltdown. Not in the ice cream aisle, but at the end of the book when her ex walks into Gavin's home. Why? He's Gavin's employee. Small world, right? Maureen's meltdown after that shocking revelation was on point. Someone out there will be able to relate to it, to know and understand why she acted the way she did, why she said the things she said, why she stayed away from Gavin instead of going to him. In the end, with the help of his meddling neighbor Pippa, the past was forgotten and a future together loomed on the horizon for them. I enjoyed their story. As short as this book is, the characters are well-written and the plot well-planned. If you've got an hour or so and want to read something that's romantic and humorous, I hope you give Snowed In a try. At the very least, you'll close it with a smile. At the most, you'll have a new book to tell others about and a new author to follow. 3.5* Received from NetGalley via Tasty Book Tours for an honest review

The first I have read by this author, Sarah Title has created a fast-paced, steam till your ice cream melts read that is loaded with personality, humor and heart.  Recovering from a bad breakup, Maureen heads to the ice cream aisle at the grocers, only to find herself in emotional overload at the Rocky Road display.  Far from completely ill at ease, Gavin finds her attractive and sets out to flirt with her – and they share a steamy  kiss. And Maureen panics and flees out of the store before he has a chance to ask her out.  But, this is a small town and Gavin’s neighbor Pippa is full of spunk and mischief, and not short on humor. Again the ice cream aisle becomes a haven for Maureen who finds herself glum and again searching for solace. This time it is Pippa who drops some sage, if slightly risqué advice on how to get the old boyfriend out of her system.  Leaving, Maureen runs into Gavin in the parking lot, and he  takes that opportunity to ask her out.   Plans are made, and the date is a great success: these two are well-matched and their connection is clear. Title has provided us with  background enough to enjoy their quirks and understand their hopes, and when the snowstorm they had forgotten about strands Maureen at Gavin’s. Hot and steamy, their connection sparked and sparkled from the start. The story is a perfect lead in to a relationship that is starting down  the path to a happy ending.  Title’s story craft is marvelous, combining backstory, action and character development together neatly to present a novella that feels more complete. Although a quick and short read, this will certainly make you want the other titles in the  Southern Comfort series, I know I do.   I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
