Overview

Seraphina Mason returns to New Hampshire to face her past; what she doesn’t expect is to have her past—heartbreaker Sheriff Jake Candellori—get snowed in at her house.

Sera has come home to put her past behind her and move on with her life. She fully intends to forgive and forget the mess she made with her ex-lover when her empathic powers overwhelmed Jake during an intimate moment and he took off running. What she doesn’t expect is to have the feelings she’d thought long gone come back with a vengeance.

Sheriff Jake Candellori has regretted letting Sera out of his life every minute of the last two years. He completely overreacted when he felt her feelings wash over him during sex, but that didn’t mean he had to run out like his pants were on fire. By the time he calmed down she was gone. When fate traps them together during a freak snowstorm—he has no intention of ever letting her go again .

By day she’s a mild mannered mother and high school teacher, but at night Arianna Hart puts on her mask and cape over her size 4 leather cat suit and saves the world from evildoers.

Okay, in the real world Arianna lives on the East Coast with her husband and three daughters and is most often seen in sweatpants instead of leather. When not teaching, writing, or chasing after her children and the dog, Ari likes to practice her karate, go for long walks, and read by the pool.

She thinks heaven is having a good book, warm sun, and a drink in her hand. Until she can sit down long enough to enjoy all three, she’ll settle for the occasional hour of peace and quiet.

Completely romantic and sexy, gave me a warm tickle, and worth the free download.

This is a very hot short story. I got this thinking it was a Christmas story, but it’s not, though there is a snow storm. Sera (phina) is an empath who had fled her New Hampshire home after her NYPD-turned-small-town sheriff boyfriend Jake broke her heart. They had been making love, and for the first time, she gave him the full Monty, mind to mind. He didn’t let the doorknob hit him on the ass as he raced away. Now Sera’s back, having learned to better control her powers, Jake has done a little growing up and research. A freak snowstorm traps them together, and provides the excuse that of course Sera has to take off all of Jake’s clothes, and her own, to warm him up and save his life. (How many times has this been done?) Still, they’re both likable characters, Cody the dog adds a humorous touch, and the sex is hot. Enjoyable, and I’d like to read more by this author.
