Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Naomi Butler
The delightful Miss Spider and Holley were getting ready to go to the Firefly Ballet when a clap of thunder shook the cozy hole. All the kids were scared by the storm—except for Shimmer, who volunteered to put every "buggy" to bed. After helping with brushing their teeth she told stories using their names as characters. More thunder shook the Hollow Tree and Snow Drop was told the story of Princess White Drop. Squirt joined in and then so did the rest of the buggies. They all joined in until the evil cloud king was forced to leave. Shimmer was scared by the last blast of thunder until Miss Spider stayed with her for sleep time. The colorful pictures and interestingly named bug characters will appeal to young children and will be good for them to read themselves. It is a very attractive book for the young reader. Part of the "Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends" series. Reviewer: Naomi Butler
