Appearing in Spanish for the first time, this remarkable novel was both a National Book Award Finalist and selected by Publishers Weekly as one of the Best Books of the Year. Set in Havana, Brooklyn, and Cuba, Dreaming in Cuban traces the fortunes, between 1972 and 1980, of a divided Cuban family.

Enjoyed the novel, but would have liked to use for high school students. Some of the episodes are not appropriate for use in the high school classroom. I'm sure the students would like the novel and would learn a lot about Cuba from a unique point of view. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
