A wonderfully written mystical story!

This book brings up issues of race, culture and religion all written in the fantasttic style of magical realism. The book grabs your attention and keeps it from the first sentence on. Sofi is fantastic and sounky and all her daughters so very different. I love the strong women in this novel and can relate to there imperfections and tragic journeys. It reads like a drunk girl telling a story to her friends. Great book.
