    Great short story!

Keri and Richie's story is sweet. The character's are fully developed except for a fee flaws that I found annoying.
The supporting character's were wonderful. Tate and Shay need their own love story.
Overall I loved the story, I've now read several of this authors and will say she is getting better at her craft.

    Ok story....short read

The read was pretty decent. Had a slow start then seem to go into hyper speed. Keri seem really dense at times. The story ended a little far fetched but I guess it'll do....

I enjoyed the book overall So Much Better, by Marie Rochelle

    I enjoyed the book overall

So Much Better, by Marie Rochelle (2014) is a re-release of a book originally published in 2010. This story involves an administrative assistant, Keri that is secretly in love with her boss. Her boss, Richie, who is described as this sexy long-haired red head Irishman, suffered a tragedy six months prior when his fiancée was killed in a car accident on the way home from her bachelorette party. Richie turns away from his friends and only allows Keri to be there for him while grieving.

While I enjoyed the book overall, I was a little disappointed that mid-way through the book, the author turned a strong African American female into a whiny, clinging woman. When she finally gets what she has wanted for so long, she allows apparently deep insecurities, which the author gives no background or basis for, to come into play.

Richie, on the other hand, as soon as he accepts his feelings for Keri, goes forward full steam ahead. He not only professes his love, even though Keri doesn’t listen, but also acts on it.

The one part that intrigued me the most was the relationship between Richie and his family. At Keri’s urging, he is rebuilding his relationship with his brother, but still will not talk to his parents. Ms. Rochelle gives no hint, other than a brief conversation between Richie and Nick about how life was after his parents adopted Tate at a young age.

I have enjoyed the works written by Ms. Rochelle and will continue to read her books. I will not necessarily repurchase a re-release unless she has made some major additions or changes. This version is the same as the one I read in 2010.

"So Much Better" by Marie Rochelle

    Book Description...

"Why them and not her? Keri Walker thought about those simple little words ever since her boss' fiancé left him. There wasn't a doubt in her mind she would be so much better for Richie if he only let her in.

Richie Davidson was devastated by the sudden loss of the woman he had been building a future with. Women were coming from left to right offering him comfort, but he wasn't interested in them. Because one unique beauty not seated ten feet outside his office door had already caught his eye."

What I liked from the novel....

I found this a sweet romance novel that was a quick read. We find that these two people come together but not before a rough ride to get to that part. This author made it quite a interesting read in how she was able to give the reader a read that would keep your attention to the very end. I liked the drama that Richie's brother brought into this picture. I did enjoy Richie and Keri's sexual play in the office scene along with this story's realistic plot, well developed and interesting characters that had some flawed ones. It will be quite interesting seeing how Richie shows Keri that she is the women he really wants in his life. Will this work for them? Now, I don't want to spoil too much other than to say you must pick up "So Much Better" and see for yourself how this story will all play out for this interracial couple. If you are looking for a worth while read you have come to the right place because "So Much Better" will give you a good romantic read.
