    Couldn't Stop Reading

I read a lot of thrillers from Steve Berry to Preston & Child to James Patterson, but So Shall You Reap kept me turning pages as frantically as any tales about Cotton Malone or Pendergast. John House's writing style resembles Patterson's with short chapters and characters that draw the reader squarely into the plot even though we know exactly who's on whose side. Football, murder, drugs, a police department trying to control the drug traffic but unknowingly protecting its kingpin -- it's all there in this fast read. Hollywood should clamp onto this story for the big screen.
