Meet the Author
Andy Landis is a nationally-known author, speaker, and consultant specializing in Social Security, Medicare, and retirement lifestyle planning.
Andy has worked since 1977 with pre-retirees and retirees at Social Security, AARP, a retirement residence, senior centers, Weyerhaeuser, and his own practice, Thinking Retirement.
Through Thinking Retirement, Andy conducts Social Security, Medicare, and retirement seminars for the public, Fortune 500 firms, public employers, labor groups, the American Institute of CPAs, the Financial Planning Association, and others.
In addition to Social Security, The Inside Story, he has authored professional training courses for the College for Financial Planning and the American Institute of CPAs, and numerous articles for professional journals and the public. He appears on television and radio. He also served as the Washington State chapter president of the International Society for Retirement Planning.
Recent projects include leading Thinking Retirement webinars, contributing to the web video Investment Smarts for PBS and AARP, and completing training as a Certified Life Options Retirement Coach.
Andy lives in Seattle with Kay, cat, corgi, keyboards, camper, computers, cars, and sometimes kids.
