I believe this book was a bit distasteful. The Indian people are followers of westernization. The indians are overly westernized, they have not maintained their own culture. This book depicts an overly exaggerated version of how the upper class lives. Though the upper class in india are snooty and more liberal than normal there is a cultural bar that should be maintained to differentiate the 2 cultures, which this book obviously does not depict.
