    I Also Recommend:

    An inspiring innovation

Delightful and informative, Cookie A leads you through the construction of beautiful socks with charm and wit. Even if you have never considered knitting a sock, you find your fingers itching to pick up needles and yarn to cast on! Her socks call out to both the practical as well as the artistic side of every knitter. A must have for a knitters library!

    I Also Recommend:

    My favorite sock-knitting book

Because a reader of this book is more than likely familiar with sock knitting as well as Cookie A. patterns, Cookie A. explains concepts of sock design concisely. Just from first chapters of the this book, I feel like I could design my own socks (although I'll stick with knitting her patterns for now!). Like most Cookie A. sock patterns, those presented in SOCK INNOVATION require attention to detail; however, if you can read a knitting pattern and knit in the round, you can knit any pattern from this book.

Because SOCK INNOVATION is softcover, I intend to take my book to an office-supply store to have a spiral binding inserted. As long as text and charts are not too close to the binding--which they aren't in this book--a spiral binding can be inserted with disruption to the text.

    Beautiful socks

These sock patterns are beautiful and creative. I am just learning how to knit socks. I have tried a few patterns and they are difficult for me to follow. I think an experienced knitter would find these patterns to be challenging. I think anyone would love to get a gift of a pair of socks made from this book.

Good clean fun, and brain-training, too.

Cookie A delights me. I would buy this book for knitters who enjoy a challenge, and who appreciate thoughtful creativity. She satisfies my need to smile, as well as knit beautiful socks.

    Beautiful - love the patterns

I own other sock knitting books and have made Cookie A's Asymmetrical Cable socks in the past. I love the many new patterns in this book and can't wait to try them. Love making socks, great for gifts!! This book is a welcome addition to my knitting resources.
