The 16 patterns in this book are very nice but the fabrics are all solids. I know that solids are very in at this time but a bit of patterned fabric would have really made these quilted items pop even more than they do.

Quilts, Pillows, table runners, coasters, place mats and even a rug are what you can created when you purchase this book. The book starts with a page about the color wheel and then jumps right into the projects. A color photo of the item is accompanied by the finished size of the quilt and the blocks. A paragraph about the item is also given.

Material and cutting lists are straight forward and graphics are scattered throughout the written instructions. There are even quilting suggestions given, always a plus in my opinion. Any templates needed are included at full size.

All of the projects have an easy skill level so any quilter could create them. Eight pages of quilting basics are found at the back of the book, along with a one page bio of the author.
