While the symphonic ambience of Cooper's work as Eluvium is present throughout, as is his gift for pure, melodic melancholy, the arrangements are less verbose. Heavy on drone and fluidity, the "broken" instrumentation is never jarring; rather, Cooper coaxes life from the myriad keyboards with equal parts determination and gentleness, resulting in a series of sepia-toned audio vignettes that feel stuck between worlds, yet manage to transcend their incidental nature.
