"ABANDONED BABY FOUND"

It's the kind of story investigative reporter Matt Winters writes about -- not the kind he wants to be living. When he discovers a newborn baby girl on his doorstep, he panics ... then he desperately turns to his temptingly pretty neighbor Caitlyn Devereaux for help. After all, women are supposed to know everything about babies!

Caitlyn's natural sensuality intrigues Matt ... and her aching vulnerability as she holds the precious bundle piques his curiosity. The wedding gowns she creates are famous for fulfilling every bride's fantasies, yet she firmly says that marriage -- and motherhood -- are not for her. But her kisses suddenly have Matt dreaming of something wonderful -- and soon he's determined to get this reluctant woman to change her mind.

    Terrific Romance

Fun story line. I wish I could have met a hot guy across the hall when I was single and living in an apartment. The baby adds lots of depth and emotion to the story. Loved Caitlyn. She was a great heroine and her emotion when it came to the baby, both taking care of her, and thinking about having to give her up was well done.

    It's O.K.

When I read peoples reviews I always wonder what kind of person is writing them. This book had review after review of how great it is. So, I read it. This book is for people who like an easy read. For those of you who need closure in the end - trust me you will get it. I felt like it was a great story and then headed to sappy-land-south in the end. This is no doubt a "chick flick" kind of book. If your the type of person who believes in prince charming and yada yada yada this book is for you! enjoy.

    Sexy and Sweet!

When Matt and Caitlyn, new neighbors, discover an abandoned baby in their apartment hallway, they're shocked. But the note that comes with this little sweetheart leads them into a romantic and complicated relationship. Falling in love with not just each other but a baby that doesn't belong to them has the potential for heartbreak, and I just couldn't put the book down. I wanted to see how it was all going to work out. Wonderful, satisfying read!

    enticing relationship drama

Tired and cynical, San Francisco Herald investigative reporter Matt Winters hears the crying of a baby in the hallway of his apartment. Matt goes to investigate and finds an infant on the floor. His new neighbor Caitlyn Deveraux, owner of a bridal shop, asks what is going on and who is he behind the safety of her door. After persuading her he is her neighbor, they take care of the infant¿s needs. They soon find a note that asks Matt to watch his nephew as apparently his long lost sister Sarah, separated from him by the foster parent system, dumped little Emily on him.
Worried that Sarah seems in trouble and deeply needing to give his sibling a hug for both their sakes, Matt decides to use his journalist skills and find Emily. He enlists the help of a reluctant Caitlyn. As they change dirty diapers while desperately seeking Sarah, Matt and Caitlyn fall in love, feelings that neither treasure at this moment.
Barbara Freethy provides readers with an enticing relationship drama with touches of humor that eases some of the tension of an emotion-laden story line. The warm yet at times melancholy plot contains a fine key cast to include the lead couple, his sister, and his niece while the strong support players such as Jonathan and the mysterious woman with the watering can add much oomph to the novel. Though Caitlyn¿s assistance seems out of character especially with her own past and wedding gown deadlines, Ms. Freethy paints a sensitive tale of some of the different kinds of wonderful that is love.
Harriet Klausner

    Decent read

This book has a good story line and is an easy read. It starts out really good and sucks you in right away. I think it could have had some sort if twist or something unexpected but did not. Farely predictable and a rushed but good ending.
