Overview

When Marc d'Alessio first rescued the curvaceous and spirited Italian Angelina Giardano at the Masters at Arms Club, he never expected her to turn his safe, controlled life upside down and pull at his long-broken heartstrings. Months later, the intense fire of their attraction still rages, but something holds him back from committing to her completely. Worse, secrets and memories from his past join forces to further complicate his relationships with family, friends, and his beautiful angel.

Angelina cannot give all of herself to someone who hides himself from her. She loves Marc, the BDSM world he brought her into, and the way their bodies respond to one another, but she needs more. Though she destroyed the wolf mask he once wore, only he can remove the mask he dons daily to hide his emotions. In a desperate attempt to break through his defenses and reclaim her connection to the man she loves, she attempts a full frontal assault that sends him into a fast retreat, leaving her nobody's angel once again.

Marc finds that running to the mountains no longer gives him solace but instead leaves him empty and alone. Angelina is the one woman worth the risk of opening his heart. Will he risk everything to become the man she deserves and the man he wants to be?

ABOUT THE RESCUE ME SAGA: The books in the ongoing Rescue Me Saga are not stand-alone stories and should be read in order. Characters will recur in later books to deal with further issues in their lives as the saga continues and each book builds upon all previous ones. Sometimes main characters even need another book to help resolve major issues affecting their relationships.

BONUS MATERIAL: Since the original e-book release, Kallypso Masters has added the PLAYLIST of music that inspired her as she wrote about the first three couples mentioned in this combined volume, as well as a GLOSSARY OF TERMS and a CAST OF CHARACTERS in these books in the saga.

CONTENT WARNING: These books are intended for mature adult readers who are not offended by profanity and graphic (but never gratuitous!) sex scenes. Due to the emotional way in which the author presents the subject matter in the characters' lives (past and present), the books might cause triggers while reading. Meet the Author

Kallypso Masters writes emotional, realistic Romance novels with dominant males (for the most part) and the strong women who can bring them to their knees. She also has brought many readers to their knees-having them experience the stories right along with her characters in the Rescue Me Saga. Kally knows that Happily Ever After takes maintenance, so her couples don't solve all their problems and disappear at "the end" of their Romance, but will continue to work on real problems in their relationships in later books in the saga.

Kally has been writing full-time since May 2011, having quit her "day job" the month before. She lives in rural Kentucky and has been married for 30 years to the man who provided her own Happily Ever After. They have two adult children, one adorable grandson, and a rescued dog.

Kally enjoys meeting readers at national romance-novel conventions, book signings, and informal gatherings (restaurants, airports, bookstores, wherever!), as well as in online groups (including Facebook's "The Rescue Me Saga Discussion Group"-send a friend request to Karla Montague on Facebook to join if you are 18 or older and don't mind spoilers. Kally also visits the Fetlife "Rescue Me! discussion group" regularly). She hopes to meet you in her future travels whether virtually or in-person! I have to admit I am not a fan of Marc D'Alessio. In fact I wasn't sure I was even going to read this book, that is how much I didn't like him. I am so happy I decided
to read it because this book is so richly complex and explains so much of his history that you can't help
but find yourself feeling sympathetic towards him and wanting him and Angelina to get their HEA.
The book is told over the same time frame as Nobody's Perfect more or less however it is told from Marc and
Angie's perspective. While in Nobody's Perfect you had glimpses of their unhappiness and the fact that they
separated you don't find out the specifics until this book. Wow, what an amazing journey I was taken on.
You find out, along with Marc and Angie, all the parts that made Marc who he is. Not a tragic abusive past
but something much more haunting that Marc himself doesn't even realize until he goes to the extreme and
asks Adam to do a very specific scene with him to help him learn more about himself and why he is running.
I went from not caring about Marc to rooting for him and wanting he and Angie to work through all
their difficulties and to get to their HEA. A tremendous journey that leaves you feeling fulfilled with tears
of joy running down your face by the final sentence. Bravo Kallypso Masters for writing such a wonderful
book with such wonderfully rich characters that we can relate to….

    Sexy, Romantic and Heart wrenching

We’ve waited so long for Marc and Angelina’s story…….and it was so worth the wait! You will not be disappointed.

This was very different from her other books in the series because it filled in a lot of the gaps from the previous book. Some of the same scenes being told from another perspective. I loved it! You will get so wrapped up in Marc and Angelina’s problems that you won’t be able to put it down!

You will go through many emotions while Marc discovers why he has so many trust issues. His journey of discovery is very emotional and heart wrenching. There were times I wanted to slap some sense into him, then I was crying and the next minute I wanted to hug him! Marc and Angelina’s love story is romantic. A man who loves his girl so much he’s willing to do anything to understand his past and make things right…….and a woman who loves her man so much that she will not give up on him and is there for him through his darkest days.
It will keep you wanting more!!

An exciting journey/roller coaster ride that has romance, kink, past secrets revealed, action, emotional catharsis and a happy ‘ending’….of course, with Kallypso Masters’ saga, it never really ends because we can look forward to reading more about our Masters lives in her next book!  This book is completely different than the first 4-keeping the series more interesting, yet still giving the reader important snippets of the other Masters lives.   Somebody’s Angel is fulfilling yet makes you hungry for more!

    Not worth the wait

As many other reviewers stated, Marc's story was the least favorite of the three men. For me, nothing changed after reading this latest book. The best parts were Damian's wedding and Karla's pregnancy updates. Other than that Marc and Angelina are still superficial and lack believability. I found myself skimming through most of the flashbacks just to see if it got any better. Sadly, it didn't. Hope Luke's story is more promising.

Absolutely wonderful! After reading the first few books in this series I was not a big fan of Marc. This book has definitely changed that. Marc now has a place in my heart with all the other wonderful men in this series. Kallypso Masters really brings out all the emotions in Marc and in yourself. I highly recommend this series. Just make sure to read them in order. Another wonderful, great and fantastic book Kallypso!

    Very Interesting

I have read this series and find it well written and very interesting. What I find disappointing is that I have found no information on the next book or when it will be available. That is most disappointing.

Sorry but I don't agree with all the five star reviews. This is the weakest book in this series. One third was a repeat of book three; hey, we read it - and those who didn't. they won't have to read it now). The second third was all repetition within this book. Some sentences were verbatim. Over and over again; Ms. Master, we got it the first time Angel said how intimidated she was by Adam when they first met. We didn't need to hear the same exact thing 3 to 4 more times. It's just filler. Both Marc and Angels thoughts are also repeated over and over. The last third was new material but marred by the 20 pages dedicated to a marriage ceremony; my goodness, I had to skim over that. Ms. Masters needs to get a new editor or someone who will tell her the truth; she rambled on and on in this book. I hope someone lets her know. I'd hate to see a good series go down the toilet. I'll give the next book a shot if it's Cassie & Luke's story but if Ms. Masters does not return to the great writing she did in books 1-3, it will be my last book by her. There are just too many excellent writers out there that can write series whereby by each book stands alone and though a continuing saga they do not ruin any of the books for new readers and more important each book is new material.

    Emotional!!

This was a very emotional book. Marc and Angelina started their relationship in a very unconventional way. Now they are working to build a strong foundation for their relationship. Marc is having to come to terms with his past and learn to trust people. This book shows Marc working through his past in a very unconventional way. I enjoyed Damien and Savannah's wedding and seeing the rest of the Masters at Arms gang. Be prepared this book will make you cry and cheer for Marc and Angelina to find their happily ever after. Another great and very intense read from Kallypso!

I really thought I was going to get the babies here in this book. Adam's going to stroke out if you don't hurry up. Very long slow book this time.

    Frustrating

I was so frustrated by the first two thirds of the book being a rehash of the series. It was almost verbatim. I think the author actually used cut/paste! The final third is the meat of the book and interesting, hence the three stars. Lots of emotional twists and turns to keep one reading. I don't know if I want to risk Luke and Cassie's story if I have to go thru the whole thing again.

Justbokay...whildo love this series of books this book was so repetitive and just dragged on about bthe same thing. I dont think there was a need for a whole other book especially one this long to uncover the reason behind marks troubled past.

This was a hard book for me to finish. Just okay for me.
