Overview

As a child Tina “Tee” Long dreamed of having it all and as one of Memphis’ most sought after event planners she appears to have achieved it. Even though creating breathtaking events and rubbing elbows with the social elite seems fulfilling, there’s one thing missing from her fairy tale life—her prince charming. After a string of failed, faith-challenging relationships this woman of God refuses to give up on meeting the man of her dreams. Tee knows in her heart that God will answer her prayers--SOMEDAY. Until then, she tries to remain prayerful and content by occupying her time with work, her sister’s drama-filled marriage, counseling wayward youth and her hilarious girlfriends. When Tee is introduced to an incredibly handsome, retired NFL player named Michael Stokes, it seems that someday has finally arrived. There's one problem. He’s been marked for death.

Michael Stokes thought life was over after a knee injury claimed his career as a NFL superstar. He realized just how wrong he was after dedicating his life to Christ and beginning on a wonderful new path as a motivational speaker and book author. He even meets Tee, a woman who makes all the other women he’s dated seem like a waste of time. But when his past comes back to haunt him Michael’s greatest fear is not the loss of his lucrative contract but losing the woman who must be heaven sent. Will Tee accept a man who has a killer on his trail and a surprising new addition to his family? “Someday” is full of adventure, excitement, thrills, laughter and love as Tee and Michael fight to stay alive in order to stay together.

Page Turner & Full of Life

This book was so amazing! It had me laughing out loud and was a total page turner! I loved the characters and I loved the story line. Every woman wants to meet that dream guy and Tee certainly met hers. It was so exciting to follow her journey, get a glimpse into her past and watch her evolve into such a strong woman. I admired the fact that Tee's goal was to live a life of celibacy and meet a guy who respected her choice. She made a committment and a bold decision and got exactly what she was believing for! It's so encouraging that the author uses this book to inspire young women and young men to stay true to themselves and what they believe. This book has a GREAT message and is full of life on so many levels.

Great Read! I LOVE This Book!

I LOVE This Book! This book is an amazing read for anyone who is trying to live a Godly life. Being a single woman who is waiting for her Boaz I appreciate her words of encouragement and the positive images the author presents. The prayers and scriptures she gave were right on target. At times, I felt like Ms. Henderson was peeping into the window of my soul and writing what she saw on paper. I have been talking about this book to everyone I meet.

You won't put this down till the last page is read! A Highly Must READ!

The author does an amazing job of balancing the voices of her characters throughout this novel. You will experience several emotions while reading this book. Also, you will find several christian themes to peak your interest and tease your intellect. Jae Henderson creates a sassy, witty, belt-whippin, praying, saved and single leading lady that is centered around drama but maintains her christian values. Prepare yourself for a delightful journey, an intriguing plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This one will keep you reading and guessing to the very end.

    This book gives you "HOPE"!!!

Times are hard for young, single, black, professional women to find really good men. The search gets increasingly more strained when you are telling a grown man that you aren't going to have "relations" with them. This book, "Someday", really is a very good read for general hope that other people are out there in the same boat as you. It's a "just enough book" to get you to imagine the extensions of the lives of the characters but with a more fundamental meaning that life happens. You get to see that life of many characters through a window, but you get the general message that your faith will "ALWAYS" get you though any relationship circumstance. Relationships, friendships, and even marriages have their respective challenges. But it's faith and due diligence in that faith that will sustain you until your blessings come which this book consistently reiterates.

    Nothing to it!

I hate to be negative, but has to be one of the worse books that I have ever read. It is completely empty.

The plot is extremely weak, the characters are one dimensional. The only thing that the heroine lacked was a super hero cape! To make things worse the book is riddled with typos and grammatical errors:(

I want to say something nice about this book, so I will say that the cover is nice:)

    Well...

This book was horrible for me because it seems to drag along without fully getting the point of the story. I admire and love the connection it has to Christianity, but at the same time, the way it is written can be taken as weak and fake. It would be soo much more of a better read if the diction and the way the story plays out was more realistic and timely in relating to today's world

    Feel Good Book

Someday was a nice, feel good book. I did not like the first person format in which it was written, but it was a positive, somewhat realistic look into the life of the Christian, celibate woman. It wasn't a page turner filled with drama but it was a good read. I would recommend it.
