Lords Of Chaos

It was big news in Ft. Myers, Florida when an abandoned historic building was destroyed by vandals in a spectacular blast.  Behind it lay the Lords of Chaos, a band of teenage misfits led by Kevin Foster, 18, a vicious hatemonger who idolized Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and was known as "God" to his five-man gang.

Vortex Of Violence

The explosion was only one episode in a month-long crime spree that began with vandalism and theft, escalating into what a local sheriff later called "a vortex of bloodlust and arson."  The rampage culminated in the brutal shotgun murder of high school band director Mark Schwebes, 32. Police busted the gang before they could unleash a planned racist mass murder at Disney World—but their leader wasn't done yet.

Compulsion To Kill

Author Jim Greenhill conducted extensive interviews with Kevin Foster on Florida's Death Row. In an astounding development, Greenhill was solicited by the prisoner and his mother Ruby Foster to arrange the killings of three witnesses, leading to a new case against Foster in 2002. Here is the chilling inside story of how a pack of teenage losers found a way to succeed—at murder.  .  .

When I first saw 'Someone Has to Die Tonight' sitting on the shelf at the store I was skeptical to buy it. I have waisted so much money on mediocre books. I decided to take a chance. I was in awe. The first pages alone are obvious attention grabers, but what this author does different is he places the reader right there in an in debth story about their lives, some why's as to what happened, a shocking ending and some steps we might take to change the sad course of what is happening around us. The author himself is also one of many descriptions. When I took a second to write this man, not only did he respond to my letter with answers from his book, he took time to provide advice on how to reach my own goals. This man acutally thanked me for writing him!!! What a miracle author!!

I loved this book! While it not only told the story of a horrible crime, it also reminded me of the importance of closely monitoring my chidren's friends, the friends' PARENTS, & their activities. This book is a cautionary tale not only directed to people who enjoy a true story but to parents of teenagers.

All True Crime enthusiasts, This book is a MUST read. The author, Jim Greenhill gives a very compelling inside look of the mind of what is greatly becoming today's youth. This book actually takes you to the crime scene and keeps you turning pages, Mr. Greenhill captures ALL sides from the victim, the victims' family to the teens prosecuted for this crime. Mr. Greenhill has a VERY unique way of making you feel a part of his books and does NOT stop short in this one. The book 'Someone has to Die Tonight' is a definte MUST READ for anyone seeking an 'insiders view' of crime scenes. I have to admit, being a former Law Enforcement Officer myself that has been on SEVERAL homicides, suicides, etc.. You can not get any closer to the inside !! Thank You Mr.Greenhill for the work you have put into this book !!
