It's about a girl who is kind of self concious about herself and feels like she is being taken out of her mom's life by her boyfriend Raffie. People in the street and the girl knows thatRaffie is a drug dealer. She tries to tell her mother but her mother denies it and wont see the truth. Then the girl starts dating her best friends ex-boyfriend Bobby Walace who is known for betting on his girlfriends like he did Jaime the girls best friend. Someone to love me

This book talks about a girl with a very suckish life. She has a mother who doesn't care what she does, her mothers boyfriend treats her disrespesctfully, a very abusive boyfriend, and friends that care about her even though they have just about given up on her. She doesnt take care of herself and she would rather stay at home and watch bad tv rather than getting an education.it tells you that siruations like this are very real. This is a way of describing the way things are in abusive relationships. It is a very feal subject and you cant just say"ohh hey i want a boyfriend because i want to feel like i belong to somebody ,for them to love me, just for someone to love me". Anyway this book is very touching because i have slso been in a abusive relationship. Let me tell it is no picnic.

    Desperate For Attention and Affection

Cindy Gibson was a freshman at Bluford High with a poor attendance record. She didn't care about going to school, she hated her mother's boyfriend and she was tired of being left home alone. All she wanted was a close relationship with her mother, but Lori Gibson was a woman who cared more about keeping a man than spending quality time with her daughter. So Cindy found the attention she craved elsewhere. Her friends told her to stay away from the sweet-talking guy she was interested in but she ignored their warnings and gave Bobby Wallace a chance. He wasn't the same person he used to be, after all. Or at least that was what he claimed. Cindy was happy to have a boyfriend and she did things she wouldn't normally do to please him. But then the guy she believed had changed for the better showed his true self.

I felt for Cindy; especially when she kept trying to convince herself Bobby wasn't who she knew he was. Sadly, she was so desperate for attention and affection that she ignored the warning signs of a potentially abusive relationship, and then made excuses for Bobby when he treated her badly. She had true friends in Jamee and Amberlynn but she didn't seem to get that. I'm glad they didn't let her attitude keep them from showing how much they cared about her.

I liked Mrs. Davis (aka Grandma Rose). She had wisdom and love for people in her community and she was there for Cindy when her mother wasn't; speaking kind words to lift her spirits and giving her sound advice. Jamee was a real good friend who cared about education and wanted Cindy to succeed in life. Harold Davis was a nice young man, and that wasn't a surprise since he was raised by his Grandma Rose. And Bobby Wallace? Sadly, he was his father's son.

I noticed these cute little Bluford High novels in bookstores a while back and I'm glad I decided to buy this one. Someone to Love Me was a good story and it didn't take much time to read it. Schraff sends messages about the importance of self-love (a lesson learned not only by teenage Cindy but her mother as well) and the dangers of drug use. There was also very little profanity and I really appreciated that - many young adult novels have way too much foul language.

    Someone to Love Me

I just read a book called Someone to Love Me by Anne Schraff. I think the book is well educated and easy too read. My favorite character is Cindy Gibson. She is my favorite because we both are going through the same thing. It is about a little 14 year old girl named Cindy is going into high school for her first time. Her mother is constantly leaving her and is never home too take care of her. Her mom's new boyfriend Raffie is always making fun of her. Cindy falls head over heels for Bobby Wallace (a high school drop out). She hardly ever goes to school until one day she gets a part in something she is dying to get. Cindy brings excitement home for her mom who is never there.
This book is taking place at Blueford High School. Cindy thinks the world of Bobby until one day something goes wrong. Cindy gets a roll she has been dieing for. She finally gets to make cartoons for the school newspaper. She is excited but something on her mind is not going so great. Bobby Wallace is getting in the way of her life, and school work. Cindy's mom is finally starting too play her role.
I have felt some of the things that Cindy went through. Sometimes I feel alone and tired of a lot of things with school and family. This book is heartwarming and teaches you a lesson you would have never thought to be heard and told. Cindy plays a very big part in this book. Her dad is nowhere mentioned in this book but her mom is. Her neighbor Rose Davis is starting to realize how her mother treats her. Rose tries to feed Cindy and invite her over but she never wants to go. Rose has a little grandson Robbie who has no friends. He is lonely and doesn't sit with anyone at school because nobody really likes him anyways.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books about love and games. I really thought this book was easy to understand.

    a great book

Have you ever been in a situation where you love someone but they treat you wrong? This is what happens in the book Someone To Love Me by Ann Schraff. The setting of the book is in a school called Blufford High. Well a girl named Cindy was in this situation. It all started when Cindy started going out with a boy in Blufford High named Bobby.

In the book Bobby was accused of using drugs, and everyone knew that accept for Cindy. In the book he does sound to Cindy like a very nice person. Any person who calls you Cinderella sounds like a nice person! Bobby said things to Cindy to make her feel conformable to him. Her friends told her he was too much trouble, but Cindy said he changed.
"Cindy is you really going out with Bobby Wallace?" Jamee asked. Suddenly Cindy took a deep breath, "listen Jamee I now what you're thinking but it's not like that, Bobby isn't the same person when you went out with him." "But how do you know that for sure"? Jamee said. But when Jamee and Bobby went out Bobby beat up Jamee in their relationship. Now Jamee is trying to warn Cindy about Bobby and Cidney won't believe her. After a while boby starts to change and she finds out that he is using drugs and he's lying about everything he told her .

I love this book because it's very suspenseful and you never know what will happen next . It talks about stuff that real people are going through and it's a real story. It teaches you a lesson about life and helps you decide what you should do. I think the message of the book is to listen to your friends when they are trying to help you. I recommend this book to anyone that likes books that are about love and growing up or even books that suspenseful. This book is a very good book for someone to read. This book can really make you pause, think, and imagine what's really happening. It's like you're actually in the setting of the book.
At the end their at a party and bobby goes to the bathroom and comes back looking high. Then he falls to the ground and start to shake Cidney is crying and they bring bobby to the hospital and come to find out he had a drug overdose. Bobby's parent's send him to a rehab where he will get help. Cidney and Bobby will meet face to face soon.

great book for junior high and high school girls

What would you do if you wanted attention? . Well Cindy thinks she is pretty cool when she starts going out with Bobby Wallace. Her friend, Jamee tells her it is not a good idea to go out with him cause Jamee was beat up by him cause of drug usage. When Bobby asks Cindy to go to a Halloween party things turn bad for Cindy and her mom. Things come to a complete stop when her mother realizes her boyfriend is a drug dealer and hiring kids from Bluford to sell the drugs. Read Someone to Love in the Bluford series.

A story between your love or your life.

Someone to Love Me is a story about a young freshman girl at Bluford High, Cindy Gibson who faces problems at home. She struggles with a rough relationship between her and her mother because of her mother's boyfriend Raffie. Cindy doesn't think her mother cares about her so she doesn't see any point in going to school. She feels neglected and unimportant, not satisfied with her looks but soon after, she begins talking to her best friend's ex Bobby Wallace who, everyone says is dangerous but makes her feel like the most beautiful girl ever. She doesn't believe them but then she starts to notice he begins acting strange and different, as if he's hiding something. As that continues, she's put into more danger each second she's with him and then things finally go wrong. The end turned out good and I liked this book because it's filled with suspense and keeps you interested. I would recommend this book if you like drama and suspense. Even though it's a fiction book, the book is actually relatable to some girls and very realistic. I enjoyed the book very much and I think you will too.
