    A delightful book

Julie James pens another deliciously sexy story in Something About You.

Assistant US Attorney Cameron Lynde just wants to get some much needed sleep. Her home is having the floors refinished so she is spending the night in a hotel. Her neighbors have been having some wall banging lovemaking. It's making it impossible to sleep. Next thing she knows there was a murder next store and she is in protective custody. Special Agent Jack Pallas has been assigned to the case. This is the some agent that blames Cameron for ruining his FBI career.

Jack Pallas can't believe his luck of all the people to be assigned to protect it has to be Cameron Lynde. A major case three years ago all but stopped his rise in the ranks at the FBI. Now he is back on track and he won't let Cameron ruin it again. Jack and Cameron need to put their past behind them and focus on who now wants to harm Cameron.

Cameron and Jack both discover misconceptions about each other that lead to a sizzling attraction. Once they give into their passions nothing will stop them from being together.

Something About You is wickedly funny and smoking hot. The Dialogue is fast paced and witty. This book is a great book that will stay in your thoughts long after you have turned the last page. I am looking forward to more from this author.

    FUN WITTY, QUICK READ!

Witty, romantic, suspense is a fun quick read.

This story is fast-paced, great action, involving corruption, conspiracy and a murdering stalker.
In an attempt to rejuvenate following a three month stressful racketeering trial, US Assistant District Attorney, Cameron Lynde has booked herself into a hotel in Chicago for an overnight stay. A lot of raucous ensues in the next room all night. She calls hotel security. It ends up that there's a murdered woman next door. Cameron is questioned and sequestered in her room while the investigation is underway. FBI Special Agent Jack Pallas and his partner, Wilkins, enter the situation. Cameron is a quick wit, sarcastic and gives as good as she gets in and outside the courtroom. ENJOYED!

Other good reads are HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET, THE LAST CHILD, EXPLOSION IN PARIS, ON FOLLY BEACH, and LIFE IN DEFIANCE.

    Witty & Wonderful Contemporary Romance

Contemporary romance fans will rejoice in SOMETHING ABOUT YOU, the third delightful contemporary by Julie James. In Chicago, Illinois, hard-working Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde has decided to treat herself to a weekend at the luxurious Peninsula hotel while her newly refinished hardwood floors dry at her Victorian home. However, instead of getting the R & R she planned for, she finds herself the sole witness to a high-profile murder in the hotel room next door. After the authorities find a videotape with a U.S. Senator involved with a dead call girl, FBI Special Agent Jack Pallas is put in charge of the case. Of all the agents who could be assigned the investigation, Jack is the last one Cameron wants to see. Three years ago, when she was a new Assistant U.S. Attorney, she had to shut down an organized crime case in which Jack had worked undercover for several years. Likewise, Jack isn't thrilled to see Cameron since he believes she's directly responsible for a demotion he received from the Department of Justice. Will the feisty Cameron and the brooding Jack be able to set aside their past differences to solve this high profile case? And what about their former chemistry that seems to be as strong as ever? In a market where too few really good contemporary romances are being published, Julie James is breathing life back into this subgenre with her witty and wonderful love stories full of great chemistry and sparkling verbal repartee. There's something about Julie James's unique writing that will make readers definitely notice SOMETHING ABOUT YOU!

    LOVED IT!!

There's "Something About You," I just can't put my finger on it?

Could it be that you'll laugh your derriere off? How about the lustful desires you mange to project upon yourself? Like, having a provocatively gorgeous FBI agent follow you around in & out of the bedroom? { >;o)~ Devilishly Wicked Grin } Or the constant "word fencing" between Jack & Cameron, causing you to beg them to descend upon their sexual frustrations they posses for one another?

Well all three were a definite "YES!" for me. I immensely enjoyed this novel. It was a quick, delightful, & gratifying read. And the legal logistics were fascinating as well.

My only complaint was that Ms. James revealed who the culprit was early on; however, she didn't disclose his/her motives. I would have undoubtedly preferred to be surprised at the end. Yet, overall it was an EXCELLENT story.

WELL DONE MS. JAMES, THIS NOVEL DESERVES WELL BEYOND A 5 STAR RATING!!

Fantastic! If you have been waiting, as I have, for a witty, believable, and connected cast of characters, then you have found it. I literally stumbled on to this author through "suggested recommendations" and although I did not read the three books in chronological order, I did read all of them in 1 day. I'm so happy to have found Ms. James and you will be too. If you are on the fence about the purchase of this book (or the other two in the series), I suggest you go for it. You will not be disappointed.

Make sure you have a bottle of good wine handy!

Love both the hero and heroine in this story. Lot's of action right off the bat and the suspense plot kept you intrigued all through the story. The love vs. hate relationship between Jack and Cameron also makes you take a step back and think twice about the consequences of jumping to conclusions and make decisions in the heat of the moment. Loved this book and love this series and author! A must read!

    Liked it

My first Julie James title. I prefer a little more conflict with a bit more suspense, but I liked Cameron and Jack's chemistry. My only complaint was that although it's a quick read, the story line moves a bit slow for me. It's not until half-way through the book that Ms. James starts to focus on the H/h and not the crime since we find out pretty early who the murderer is. Overall, a smart, fun, sexy, story! I will read the others in the series as well.

    Really fun read!

This book was everything that is good in a romantic suspense. It was well written with excellent internal and external dialogue. The misunderstandings made sense. The characters spoke and acted like real people. The situations were true-to-life. No one veered dangerously into too-stupid-to-live territory, not even once! I had a hard time putting down Cameron and Jack's story, and really look forward to more from this series and author.

    Great chemistry!

This book was lots of fun. The main characters had great chemistry. The minor characters added nice flavor to the book. I loved the humorous banter between the cops watching Cameron. And finally, the suspense of the case involving Cameron and Jack was spot on. Julie James did a great job.
