## I didn't care for this book. SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED. 1st of all, this book was just too long. Too wordy. Too much description. Too many side characters involved in everything. It was difficult to keep everyone straight. Ugh, the hurt that this hero caused because he couldn't be honest. Jeez, not revealing who he was and what he did for a living? Not even his real name. But it's OK because it's a variation of his name? Come on. Really? And keeping the wife and kid a secret was just too much, way over the top. She was a complete nightmare. I just couldn't like these characters and cheating is cheating no matter how you disguise it. No thanks, won't be reading again.

Very good story. I enjoyed it and really loved Jax's character... He alone makes this book totally worth reading (and drooling over lol).

ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Something Amazing is a spinoff with the characters Rachel and Jaxs. Rachel is fresh from a breakup of a long term boyfriend that wasn't going anywhere when her and her best friend Stacey take an impromptu vacation to Kauai. There they will meet the Clark brothers. I actually felt Henricks and Stacey had better chemistry than the main characters of the book. In the first half of the book I had a hard time seeing a true connection with Rachel and Jax. Jax kept giving mixed signals. One minute he was acting like their time together was a fling and the next he was saying things as if they were soul mates. There was a lot of mix ups between the two until Rachel finds out Jaxs secret. Finally towards the second half of the book their connection starts to shine through and I was able to enjoy the rest of the book. Overall this was a good read. I just wish the first half of the book meshed better. I haven't read any of their others in the series but I will. I liked the other characters enough to give them a try.

I love this series, all the characters and their stories. Definitely recommend reading this one if you've read the others. While you don't get a lot of detail about past characters I like that they pop up in this book. Will read the next one! 230 pgs

What starts out as a vacation fling turns into so much more! This spin-off of the Something Great series has Rachel Miller in Hawaii with her best friend for a much needed getaway. Meeting someone like Jackson "Jax" Clark is the last thing she expected but why not have a little fun! After five days together they both know this could be so much more but there is something he's not telling her, could they make a go of things once back home???? Adored these characters and really loved the way the author unfolded the story for us. Definitely one I would recommend. Easily read standalone!

I love this spin-off of the Something Great series. It is a stand alone novel but you will want to read the series when you're done. I love M. Clarke's books because they instill the message to women to not settle and that they deserve that someone special someone. Rachel is distraught because she has broken up with her boyfriend and not sure if she has done the right thing. Her sister Becky assures her she'll be fine and to go enjoy her vacation and meet some hot surfers.  Mary Ting/M. Clarke's books draws you in and absorbs you into the story. You can't wait to see what happens next but yet you don't want the story to end. You can't help caring about the characters and find yourself feeling all of the emotions that they're going through. Kudos to Mary for another "Amazing" read and I look forward to what comes next.

Something Amazing by M. Clarke is a spin-off book to her Something Great series. Having never read the other books in the Something Great series I found that I was able to read and enjoy this book with no trouble. I did, however, find that I really wanted to read more about all the characters involved. Just be aware that you will get spoilers in this book to the HEA's in the other books. Rachel is on vacation in Kauai with her best friend and roommate, Stacey. After landing eyes on a hottie at the pool and letting Stacey go in for the kill, which ended up a total fail, they go to dinner at restaurant recommended by Rachel's future brother-in-law. At the restaurant, the surf-god from the pool shows up while Stacey is now flirting with Hendrix, the owner of the establishment. Rachel is not sure how to react so stand-offish and un-interested is what she goes for. Unfortunately, the surf-god, AKA Jax, is ready to overlook her attitude and chase after the person she really is. What happens on Kauai is magical, but Rachel has issues and Jax has secrets. How they play out is an intense, romantic journey that will leave you eager to read more from this author.

I love this series! This book is truly something amazing! At the beginning we  meet Rachel who just got out of a relationship and is getting ready to go on a  trip with her best friend Stacey. While they are there, they run into  Matthew(Rachel's brother in law)'s friend that works at the hotel where they are  staying . He helps them plan some stuff to do while on vacation.  While hanging out by the pool they see this really good looking guy swimming  laps. When her friend tries to be matchmaker she gets nervous and leaves. When they  go out that night Matthew's friend decides to invite someone to come with  them. It's the hot guy from the pool. Deciding that this will just be a Vacation  fling, she decides to see where this goes. But sometimes a fling can turn into  something amazing.

I really loved this book. It was emotional and powerful. Rachel just wanted to go on a vacation with her friend and room mate, Stacy, After breaking up with her boyfriend of two years. After seeing her sister with her son to be husband she wants what they have. Who know that she would find what she wanted on vacation. She doesn't want to get into another relationship right away. She is young and wants to date around and have some fun, but there is just something about Jax. Just being near him undoes her. Half way through the vacation she gives into her attraction to Jax. They spend as much time as possible with each other. Jax was prepared for how fast and hard he fell for Rachel. He was just having fun visiting his brother. He has a past and some secrets. He wants to see if what he and Rachel has is real before he tells her. Will Rachel still feel the same way about him once she knows his secrets or will they change everything? Once the vacation is over will they forget about each other or will it make them both realize how much the care about the other? The chemistry and Jax and Rachel have is amazing. They go through so much during the book. There were times I wanted to cry and times I was about to yell at one of them. Jax is so worried that Rachel won't except him once she learns his secrets. Rachel is sure if Jax really feels for her the same way she feels for him. He will say things that make her think he feels something real for her and then others that think he just wants to be friends. Neither one of them can stop thinking about the other. They have this almost magnetic connection to each other. I can't wait to see if there are more books in this spin off series. I will be reading the original series as well. I loved all the characters in this book. They have a great flow between them. They are there for each other and know just what the others need. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

This books is definitely something wonderful! It’s a great story from beginning to end, and there are some unexpected twist s that definitely kept it captivating throughout the book! Jax is officially on my BBF list. He’s melt your panties right off hot! He’s confident and cocky but with just the right about of sweet and caring to make you fall in love with him. Despite knowing that a relationship between himself and Rachel would be a huge struggle, I loved the fact that he started to accept his feelings for rather quickly began to wonder if there was a way to make things work.  Throughout the story his depth of character is made clearer and clearer. He possesses a maturity that you don’t really see until near the end of the book. We mostly see the laid back surfer dude, vacation attitude. But eventually, we are able to see that he is a solid and dependable.  Rachel was a little bit of a struggle for me. I liked her for the most part, but she fought her relationship with Jax a too hard. Also, not accepting Matthew’s job offer right off the bat seemed unrealistic to me. I felt like she brought on a lot of her heartache herself. However, in general, I liked her personality and could see myself being friends with her. She definitely had a fun side, and she was incredibly sweet and caring.  While I didn’t dislike Rachel, I never truly connected with her, in fact I was more intrigued by her friend Stacey. But, I still liked her and was always curious how her story would play out. I might not have handled the situations the way she did, but hey, she’s a different person and we all walk our own way.  The chemistry between these two is electric! When they are together, the passion just leaps of the page and sizzles. Jax is a dirty talker and oh, how I love those filthy mouthed men! There are definitely sweet and cuddly scenes, but there’s also plenty of steam to heat up the room! M. Clarke does a fabulous job painting the pictures in the scene of each book. She picked some fun locations to set the book in. However, in Kaui, she was a little too descriptive at times. I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary detail. But, after the moves to NYC, Paris, and L.A., it let up and the scenes moved much more smoothly.  I really enjoyed Something Amazing. M. Clarke did a fabulous job keeping me surprised with the storyline and I will definitely be reading her next book. I recommend this one, I think you’ll love it!

M. Clarke is a new author to me and this is the first book I read written by her. I wasn't sure what I should expect but I've heard quite a few good things about this series so I decided to check it out. Well, I wasn't disappointed. The story is interesting and entertaining and the characters are quite well developed. For me it is very easy to get sucked into the book and to lose track of time. I loved Rachel and Jax and I was really rooting for them during the whole book :) At times I was a little bit frustrated with Rachel as she was acting a little bit irresponsible and stubborn but in the end everything came into place :) I definitely liked that she has a strong character and goes after what she wants. Well, in most cases ;) Jax on the other hand is quite delicious. He definitely has the body to die for and on top of that he is a real gentleman and romantic on top of that. He was definitely a treat to read about. I have to say that I liked him more than Rachel, and not just because he is pantie melting HOT :) He is quite level-headed and not that rushed into his decisions. Well, except the fact that he fell in love with Rachel for mere days. But apart from that, everything else he did was quite well thought through :) As a whole I think that Rachel and Jax fit quite well together. Their story was quite interesting and there were definitely some twists that I didn't expect. Which, let's be honest, is always a good thing :) I quite enjoyed the style of writing and I will be for sure checking the rest of the books in this series :) In a few words, I definitely recommend this book to all romance readers out there. I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed :) This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

I think it’s interesting how life brings us exactly what we need and usually it’s when we least expect it. We aren’t always prepared to receive these blessings due to bad timing, personal insecurities, dark secrets, etc. No matter how hard we fight against it, things that are meant to be will never leave your heart or mind the same again. They will latch onto your soul as they slowly become a part of your life whether you want them to or not. Time apart only brings with it fear, anxiety, questions, and doubts that will haunt and torment us every step away we take. Why do we push good things away and hope that they will disappear and yet come back on a better scheduled day and time? No matter what anyone thinks, we owe it to ourselves to live a life that brings us true happiness and unspeakable joy. How dark and heavy life is apart from these beautiful gifts. Let us hope that we learn from our mistakes and take hold of those treasures that we find along the way in unexpected places and at the most inopportune times. For only then will we truly be able to experience and enjoy all the benefits of a rich and full life. Rachel just got out of a dead end relationship that has left her feeling heart-broken and unwanted. To help her cope with this misery, she and her best friend Stacey go on a dream vacation to an exotic getaway. Leaving behind the pain, loss, and confusion, she allows herself to enjoy the beautiful landscape, the mouth-watering food, and the wonderful hospitality of new friends. In the midst of her new paradise, she finds something that she was never looking for in a stranger named Jax, and she begins running from it. The harder she fights against her blossoming feelings for Jax, the more relentless he becomes in his pursuit of not just her but her heart. However, as her defenses begin to falter, she finds that he is hiding something from her. She does the only she can to protect her heart. She runs away and keeps on running. After their truly memorable time together, Jax is absolutely sure that he wants to keep Rachel in his life no matter the cost. Will Jax find that his determination and stubbornness will win out over Rachel’s, or will she drive him away in an effort to protect what is left of her heart? Will he lose her to secrets and misunderstandings, or will she finally open her eyes to the destruction she is raining down upon them and welcome the truth with an open heart? I think that Jax is the true enigma in this story. There are so many layers to his initial playboy façade that I couldn’t wait to get to know. He projected a carefree, bad boy demeanor, but the more he interacted with Rachel, the more I could tell that there was so much more to him. He never forced himself on her, and he took every available opportunity to show that he had a tender, caring, and loving heart beneath his perfectly chiseled body. My heart hurt for them as they both went their separate ways without a promise of a future knowing how deeply they have touched each other’s heart and slowly engrained themselves into the other’s soul. They suddenly found themselves standing on the edge of a deep, dark, mysterious drop that would either shatter them to pieces at the bottom or give them wings to lift them up to the heights of heaven and beyond. It took a devastating tragedy to pull Rachel out of her paralysis and gave her the courage to finally open her heart and take that deadly yet wonderful leap of faith. What she found was beyond even her wildest of dreams. Together they found an extravagant love, an exquisite sense of belonging, and an amazing family worth fighting for. M. Clark is a truly outstanding author who will always be one of my all-time favorites! She never fails to deliver a very real, very heart-wrenching story that could easily be about real people. She infuses her heart and soul into each transforming journey that makes them solely unique and utterly passionate. I have yet to be able to put one of her books down after I start reading them. It’s imperative that I try to read it all in one sitting because I can’t bear to tear myself away from the spectacular characters that have come to mean so much to me. I invest more than just my time into reading each stunning creation by M. Clark. My heart and my mind never fail to be held captive by her outstanding literary talent that only gets better with time.

Sigh! Yep, this is a love story to remember! On the rebound after breaking up with her boyfriend of two years, Rachel takes a vacation with her BFF Stacey on the island of Kauai. Two single girls, 10 days, and never ending sunshine... a great place to regroup and figure out what she wants out of life. Only one thing... Jackson Clarke. From the moment she meets him, there is an attraction she is trying to control and she can see it is mutual. This is only the beginning folks. This story goes 100 miles a minute and will sweep you off your feet. Though my first paragraph may indicate this is a formulaic romance, this is anything but! These are two souls afraid to be hurt again, with responsibilities and dreams. Neither were looking for a forever romance and yet they cannot deny how well they fit. The obstacles are insurmountable and time is not their friend. Back to reality and life's endless push and pulls, we get to understand these characters and gleam into their souls. Amazing writing, amazing story, and really something amazing to read!

An emotionally gripping romance Note: This review contains NO spoilers After reading the last page, I had to take a moment to just take it all in! I am still reeling from all the feels after reading Something Amazing! It can be read as a standalone book, but I highly recommend reading the Something Great Trilogy first. This trilogy sets up many of the character backgrounds that are cast in this spin-off novel. Filled with adventure and romance, these characters venture into new territory and new experiences that takes them out of their comfort zones and opens their eyes and hearts to new feelings and situations. Set in a beautiful and tropical setting, these two main characters, Rachel and Jackson (Jax), explores new feelings with each other that they both did not intend to happen. However, secrets can cause a lot of damage and cause heartache. That is the test...isn't it!?! Will their growing love for each other overcome? Told in both Rachel's POV and Jax's POV, we get a more closer look at what their thoughts are of each other and themselves. Both and all supporting characters are well-developed making readers...such as myself...feel for them and their struggles. As for the setting, M. Clarke's well written and descriptive setting whisked me away to the beautiful island of Kauai. M. Clarke delivers an emotionally, heart-wrenching story of falling in love in a complicated situation. Something Amazing is a wonderfully written story of falling in love and overcoming insecurities, doubts, and complications...and giving love a chance to more than one person.
