Overview

Something to Talk About, the sixth book in the Cochran/Deveraux series, answers the question that readers started asking after the first book, Lucky in Love: who is the mysterious John Flores and what is his relationship to the Cochran family? At the very end of A Merry Little Christmas, the fifth book, Big Benny Cochran confided something to his daughter-in-law, Angelique Deveraux Cochran that had readers overcome with curiosity and now all the answers are out on the table.

Adam Cochran has a lot on his mind because he's recently admitted to himself that he's in love with his best friend and business partner, Alicia Fuentes. She's always been hands-off to him because they made a promise to stay friends and only friends. He'd finding it harder and harder to keep that promise because he wants her like he's never wanted anything or anyone in his life.

Alicia is going through the same thing because she's been in love with Adam for years and the same promise has kept her from admitting her feelings for him. But true love will always find a way and they finally break down the barriers that have kept them in the BFF category and find their way into each other's arms.

Being in love is wonderful and their passion exceeds all their expectations. Adam proposes and she accepts, but when Big Benny announces to the family that he fathered a son while he was married to his late wife, Lillian, everything changes,

Adam is furious and refuses to have anything to do with his new half-brother, even though the rest of the family is willing to accept him. Benita tries to convince Adam that John is a good man, reminding him that John Flores is the man her saved her sanity and helped her reconcile with Clay after the tragic car accident that made her miscarry their first child, Even after finding how how Big Benny came to have a one-night-affair with John's mother, Adam isn't convinced that he can forgive his father and accept his brother. His angst drives a wedge between him and Alicia and causes her great distress.

But when it's revealed that John is dying of the same condition that caused his mother's death and that Adam is the only one who can save him through a living transplant, Adam has no choice but to do the right thing and volunteer to help his newest sibling. Now it's Alicia who has the [roblem because she's afraid that something will happen to Adam during the surgery.

Adam's tender love and infinite passion show Alicia that she has nothing to fear, that he and John will both come through the procedure with flying colors so that he and Alicia can live a life filled with love. And he's right; everything works out perfectly and they begin their new life together.

Of course, there's the small matter of what becomes of John Flores-Cochran and his acerbic assistant "Miss Parker", and that's what book seven, A Fool for You is all about. Happy reading!

Just when I think Ms. Schuster couldn't possibly come any better. We'll she could and she did! I think this one is my favorite so far. I love the relationship between Adam and Alicia. The fact that they were friends first, made it that much sweeter. And I enjoyed the closeness of both their families. Made me want to be a part of it, if not the family, then at least a very close friend. It was a deeply romantic, yet moving and inspiring story. And I think it all came together nicely. Can't wait to see if a novel evolves around Bryant and Roxy or maybe John and Nina (Miss Parker)...that was cute. A MUST READ!!!!

Melanie Schuster presents the fifth book of the Cochran-Deveraux dynasty this time she takes the plot to a whole new level introducing old and new characters. Mrs. Schuster brings a new perspective of undeniable love with Something To Talk About Alicia Fuentes never thought that love would find her. The man she loves is her best friend and business partner. Alicia met Adam Cochran at M.I.T. where they formed a unique friendship that lead to them having an undeniable bond, but exactly how much could one take before love can truly prevail. Adam Cochran knew he loved Alicia, but after a promise was made a decade before he didn¿t dare attempt to present his feelings to Alicia. Everyone around Alicia and Adam knew they were in love and had taken to fighting off the idea thinking that the other would object and that their friendship would end. After a little interference from family and friends Alicia and Adam admit their feelings for one another, but not before a life altering secret test the strength of their love. The story had a lot of historical facts that made the story that more believable. Melanie is an exquisite storyteller with a style of her own. ~Reviewed by Milestone of Platinum Reviewers

It's true this book with answer all of your questions. You will fall in love with Alicia and Adam. All of Ms Schuster's books in this series are good, however I think this one is the best. Of course that's what I say after each book. I can't wait to read John and Nina's story and I also wanna get an update on Paris and Titus. Something to Talk About is a much read.....especially for book clubs, cause it is definitely worth talking about.

I could not wait to get this book and I was not disappointed. It is a very good book that ii am sure I will read several more times. I am on my 2nd re-read now.. Melanie put her foot in this book. It's full of surprises and then some. I don't want to give away anything but I laughed and almost cried when reading this book. I loved the friendship that turned into a love of a lifetime. I am looking forward to more Cochran/Devereaux books and hopefully Melanie can write quick but not lose the flair she has for this series.
