You Fear Him

Eight months into a surrogate pregnancy for her sister, Kristina, Detective Savannah Dunbar just wants to wrap up paperwork before taking medical leave. But her department's investigation into a brutal double homicide has suddenly become much more complex--and personal. And now there are disturbing rumors about the Colony, its matriarch, and a long history of bitter secrets. . .

But You Can Never Stop Him

Death has come to Siren Song before. But this time there will be no refuge and no remorse. For everything born in wickedness must die that way--and a killer will not rest until he has claimed them all. . .

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Jackson and Bush, who are sisters as well as co-authors, follow Wicked Game and Wicked Lies with this superb supernatural thriller set on the Oregon coast. Det. Savannah Dunbar of the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Department is nearing the end of her pregnancy, acting as a surrogate for her sister, Kristina, and brother-in-law, Hale. Determined to work until she gives birth, Savannah ignores her own concerns over her sister’s nervousness and odd behavior while investigating several murders. Reclusive Catherine Rutledge, who runs the Siren Song Colony with her many supernaturally gifted nieces, asks Savannah to conduct DNA tests on the knife that killed Catherine’s sister, Mary, who had an unusual ability to seduce men. Savannah’s also trying to find the person who killed a local couple with ties to Hale’s development company. Then Kristina is injured and Hale is a prime suspect. Jackson and Bush’s latest thriller is a masterpiece of romantic suspense with enough twists and turns to keep the reader eagerly anticipating the breathtaking conclusion. Agent: Robin Rue, Writers House. (June)

SOMETHING WICKED is a suspense mystery which leaves the reader guessing until the end as to the killers true identity. Although it is part of a series, I had no problems following the story even though I'd not read any of the others.
The story opens with Echo Island and the discovery of a dead body posing more questions than answers. Then, we go on to meet the main character of the story, Savvy who works as a detective and is very pregnant. At times the story is disappointing when you realise scenes are just too unreal for words, ie having a baby, in a blizzard and back at work the next day and at others you're wondering how could you kill this character off. Overall the story is excellent and if you like a good mystery you'll love this book. Be warned though, there's more coming in this series.

    Awful

I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them. This one, however, is horrid. Its a rambling mess. I couldn't finish it. Don't waste your time or money.

    Great series,great book

I found the first book in series at work and read it when I was out of stuff to read. I am really impressed and love the concept. I had to go out and get the rest of them.I like how the characters in both authors books pop up in other series. Very impressive and well thought out writing in that respect. Cant wait till the next one comes out!

Good book. Even though it is a 3rd book, you don't really need the first 2 to follow this one. I can't wait for the next one to come out! This book was a little slow to pick up, but gathered steam pretty quick.
