Overview

Lady Madeline's first and only London season lasts one month before a family emergency forces her home. The memory of one gentleman remains with her, in particular his face and eyes.

Six years later Lady Madeline has the keeping of her sister's four children. She approaches Lord Baylor, a neighbor, to ask a favor, but with Lord Baylor is the gentleman she remembers from her one, short season; he is now the Earl of Spode. Her wild nature is intrigued.

Robert, the Earl of Spode, immediately recognizes Lady Madeline. She was the lovely young girl with the eyes—big, beautiful green eyes. He hopes to get close to Lady Madeline—and make sure she doesn't disappear from his life again.

I was rally upset and disappointed with this SHORT story. It was only 17 pages!!! No where in the description was it stated that this was a short story or novella. I was expecting a book not 17 pages!!

This is a pleasant quick read in which a couple who met briefly years ago are reintroduced to one another. Each was taken with the other and the gentleman had asked the lady to dance. Unfortunately, a tragic event took the lady away and the two meet years later and find they are still intrigued enough to wish to know the other better. While the title alludes to a wildness, they lady is really just known to assert herself and speak her mind, so this story is of the tender, sweet variety.
