Overview

A man was born 2000 years ago: a legend, a leader, a revolutionary. Most of us know the story of Jesus Christ's birth, his teachings, and the events of his final days. Jesus Christ, Son of Man: The Early Years is a fresh approach to the birth and early life of Jesus as a child in Nazareth

Both the artist and author feel they have been preparing all their lives to work on this project. Susan Easton Black and artist Liz Lemon Swindle share a vision of Christ as a man, who walked the earth, laughed, danced, worked and lived as part of his native community. Fueled by several visits to Jerusalem and many hours of research, they passionately explore of the life of Christ in a way that has not been done before.

Artist Liz Lemon Swindle hopes the paintings will help people explore a personal relationship with the Savior through this intimate perspective of Jesus in his mortal life, as a friend and neighbor. He lived as all men do, and yet his life was filled with passion, love and caring as he reached down and lifted up those who struggled.
