Meet the Author

Paula D'Arcy (M.Ed., University of New Hampshire) was a counselor in private practice in Massachusetts for eleven years, specializing in issues of grief, relationships, abuse, and spirituality. Today she lives in the Texas Hill Country and travels extensively as a popular speaker at conferences and retreats. She is the author of When Your Friend Is Grieving, The Gift of the Red Bird, and Red Fire. She is also President of the Red Bird Foundation, which supports the growth and spiritual development of disadvantaged persons throughout the world. Her grown daughter, Beth Starr D'Arcy, pursues a career as a professional actress.
