Each book of this series gets better than before. So far, this is the best. Jean is putting more story into her writings. However, she persists on treating many of her characters like 6 year olds. Mikor is supposed to be 9yrs, but has all the characteristics of a 6 yr old, including losing front teeth. All her heroines 'tick out their tongues', like spoiled pampered obnoxious 6 year olds. This chapter in the series is also starting to give clues as to the final outcome. I am also curious as to how the 6th & 7th brother will deal with their 'destined' brides. Keep them coming, Jean. You get better with each volumn. Oh yes, get your editor to check your grammer run-on sentences, lots of 'singular/plural' within the same sentence, can be distracting.

The Council fear that the ancient prophesy is being fulfilled and debates their options before it is too late.-------------- As the Council argues, the fourth-born sibling Evanor lost his magical abilities and became mute during a war to free his sister-in-law from an evil mage. Healer Mariel comes to Nightfall Isle accompanied by her son to help him regain his voice and to live there. She gives him much more than just efforts to heal his vocal cords she gives him the magic of love.------------- Although each tale contains a complete saga focusing on one of the brothers, it behooves the audience to start with the first book because Jean Johnson continues her magical writing of increasingly more intricate details involving the Sons of Destiny big picture. The current story is fast-paced and stars two likable protagonists, but in some ways feels more like a middle tale (it is number four of eight) as it sets the table for seemingly big showdowns. Still Evanor¿s entry is fun to follow as he finds love the most powerful lyrical voice in the Johnson universe.-------------- Harriet Klausner

It is very hard to put down once you start reading. The plot holds your interest and the characters are mystical yet true to life.

I WILL CONTINUE TO READ THE SERIES BECAUSE I LIKE THE CHARACTERS AND AM CURIOUS TO SEE THE REST OF THEM WED ESPECIALLY RYDAN HEHEHEHE THE RECLUSE

I really do love the uniqueness of these novels, and am truly interested in the live of the brothers to come...If you like fantasy and romance, the "Sons of Destiny" provides a perfect merger of the two genres!
If you enjoyed these books, I think you will like "Black Lyon" by Deveraux and "Heart of the Dragon" by Showalter.

Jean has redeemed herself on this one. I am so glad I forged through The Master and continued on with this series. There were quite a few ramblings but not as torturous as they could've been. Although there was an event that happened in the end that I think was done too soon, I am curious as to see why this was done and where she expects to go with this.

I Also Recommend:
I got the first book on clearance and thought it sounded like fun to read. As soon as I completed the book I went looking for the entire series. I had to have all of the books. I have kept them in my personal library I have started. These are books I will read again. They kept me entertained and waiting to see what would happen next. The books had great characters....some you love to hate....and others you cheer for. You can not go wrong with buying this book.

This 4th installment of the Sons of Destiny series hits the mark and provides readers with a unique romantic fantasy. Ms Johnson does a great job in continuing to unfold the complexities of the characters and leaves you looking forward to the next brothers quest and search for love and peace.
