I bought this book when I was in high school,1994. Since buying the novel I have read it at least ten times! The book is so full of detail of the Native American life, making the reader feel like they are living out on the plains with the tribes. I can not say enough about it. If you enjoy Native American history, this is a must read.

i love this book i first read this book long before i could really understand it i was about 12 years i think i came across this book among my mother's things and i read and reread it oh i don't know how many times. i would recommend this book to anyone who loves native american history and way of life i'm a native american alaska native to be exact and i would like to share this book with all of my friends. I know you will love this book too!!!
