It’s incredibly surreal for me to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Songs in A Minor. Looking back on the journey, I’m truly moved by my fans and friends who’ve been with me and have supported me throughout my career. This album is possibly the most precious to me, as your first album only happens once, and so Songs in A Minor will always hold a special place in my life that’s filled with amazing memories. I’m so proud that the songs are still being enjoyed around the world, and I’m crazy excited to share, through the 10th Anniversary Edition, songs never heard before, and even more of my debut album with you. -- Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys’ debut album, Songs in A Minor, made a significant impact upon its release, catapulting the young singer/songwriter to the front of the neo-soul pack. Critics and audiences were captivated by a 19-year-old singer whose taste and influences ran back further than her years, encompassing everything from Prince to smooth ‘70s to Billie Holiday. By mixing R&B with a sultry dose of neo-soul, Alicia Keys became an international star.

The original release of Songs in A Minor sold more than 11 million albums worldwide and garnered Keys with her first five of 14 total Grammy® Awards, including Best New Artist, Best Song of the Year for “Fallin,” and Best R&B Album. With the 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, Keys’ fans will be able to rediscover this seminal album and explore previously unreleased and original bonus material, such as the tracks “A Woman’s Worth” remix featuring Nas; “Juiciest” mix tape version; “Fallin” the Ali soundtrack version; and the previously unreleased “Typewriter” and “If I Was Your Woman” original funky demo version. I cannot wait until this album comes out. If the rest of the tracks on the album are like ''Fallin''', I think that this girl will be one to watch. Her voice is beautiful, and I love the fact that she plays her own piano melodies. She has a nice, jazzy quality to her that might make her the next Badu or Scott.

In this debut album, Alicia Keys shines her vocal and instrumental talents. As a 20 yr. old, she is definitely off to a good start. Every song on this cd is full of jazz and R&B...she sings with so much feeling. I definitely recommend buying this cd.

To sum it up she got the skills. She got skills that many of today's artists are lacking. Her vocal skills are sharp and on point. Check out How Come You Don't Call Me... I love her CD, and keep listening to it over and over. I'm already looking forward to the next. This CD is a must have.

MY FAVORITE ON THIS TRACK IS FALLIN. ''HER STYLE IS NOT ONLY UNIQUE BUT CAN NOT BE IMMITATED.''

Alicia Keys is truly a breath of fresh air in a world full of music with superficial lyrics about money, sex and cars, accompanied by recycled beats. Now we have people like Maxwell, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Bilal and now Alicia Keys to remind us that things like love are still important. Alicia's music speaks for itself. She's a brilliant pianist, with impressive vocal skills that grab your attention from the very beginning. I love the entire CD. If you like laid back melodies, you've got to get this one in your collection. Check out my favorite track: #9 ''Goodbye.'' This girl's definitely got skills.

Where did Alecia keys come from? This is what we have been needed for the music entertainment in years she will definately make me want to go out and buy her album. She has fenominal vocal capabilities, sounding almost angelical, and not to mention those enticing eyes along with her stunning visage. She is unquestionably an individual to watch out for.

Alicia is DA BOMB. The songs are very smooth and soulful and very well written. It's very refreshing to hear such quality music in an industry full of over-saturated bubble gum.

Imagine...unlock the doors, sit down, put the key in the ignition, start the engine, adjust the rearview, open the sunroof, pop the gearshift in drive, and let the ten inch bazooka subwoofer in your trunk bang out a melodic ''Troubles.'' I personally prefer hypnotic grooves like ''Rock Wit U'' and ''Life'' to escort me down Interstate-10, but I have no qualms about dedicating all the watts I can to her wonderful remake of a Prince classic. She sings with such conviction that I find myself getting lost in the music with her wonderful voice as my guide. Hey, Alicia, can you cook, too?!? Sincerely, marcusallenbonton

I love this cd!!! Is in one of the best out there right now. Alicia Keys is a very talented artist that you could probably expect much more from in the future. And the fact that she wrote all the songs expect the ''Prince'' remake makes it even better. The cd is on a personal note and I can relate to it sooooo much!

I like her. She is just one great artist that will not fade away quickly. Her voice, her hair, her face and the style she has is just great! I like her music and I think that it will make a big difference of some sort in the near future.

It was 2 A.M. and I couldn't sleep. I turned on VH1's Insomniac Music THeatre as I always do when sleep won't come, and only ten seconds after the screen lit up, ''Fallin''' by Alicia Keys came on. I hadn't yet heard this soulful song, believe it or not, and I had no idea who Alicia Keys was, but I loved the song so much that I put on my shoes, got into my car, and drove to the Wal-Mart Supercenter ((open 24 hours!!)) to purchase ''Songs in A Minor.'' Believe it or not, the entire CD was just as wonderful, if not better, than ''Fallin''', and to my great relief, not an ounce of ''Pop-Princess'' sound can be heard in the entire cd! Five stars for sure!!!

I'm a die hard fanatic of the soft-jazzy, bluesy music genre. For the longest time, Sade has quenched my thirst, but never my thirst for something totally new until her new album. Alicia Keys is drowning me right now in that goodness with her own release ''Songs in A Minor''. She'll go very far indeed (see Sade). Thank heaven.

Alicia Keyes is a great musician and piano player. My friend met her a few days before her album released. He said that she was down to earth, and worked hard for her success. songs in A minor is a great cd. If you haven't gotten it yet, it would be great to get.

Alicia has a very ecletic sound and each track has a different sound that can capture all different interest from R&B-Jazz-Blues-Reggae-and Funk. She's definitely a young legend who will be around for the next generation--very classy!! Keep it up!
