"... intellectually agile, thrillingly stylish...The Songs of the Kings effortlessly proves that modern life is the stuff of ancient myth."
"The Songs of the Kings is a beautifully measured entertainment given gravity by how accurately it reflects the present political zeal to control the media."– The Independent

This was my first book of Barry Unsworth, and I plan to real all his books. A wonderful story teller. Par excellence. His people come to life, you can identify their foibles, their pride, their weaknesses. His dialog is wonderfulWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
