About the Author

Karyn Sealy grew up in the sand hills, or “piney woods”, of South Carolina. A ninth generation South Carolinian, and amateur naturalist, her love for this state encouraged her to write stories about real places and characters in her state. In 2010 she received a Bachelors in Architecture from Clemson University and is now pursuing a Masters in Education Technology at University of South Carolina Aiken. Many of her stories come from walking with her Mom in her neighborhood while growing up. She loves all animals and flowers, reading and is always involved in creative works such as painting, playing violin, and writing.
