I just started reading the book and it really shows me how to help my child with his whining and tantrums. It also helps me on what I should and shouldn't do to prevent these tantrums and whining. Just reading the first 6 chapters, I see a tremendous difference in my child. There is not so much tantrums anymore. I love the timeclock tip.

This book was required reading for a behavior management class I attended. With the assistance from a psycologist, I put the techniques to the test and saw immediate results. The book consists of chapters relating to various age groups and thus can be used for many years. SOS remained on and in my nightstand for years, close enough for me to consult whenever the need arose. It is a great resource for the parent who is willing to work through the initial resistance from their child, only to be rewarded with a cooperating child within a very short time frame. I have recommended this book to parents many times ove the years. It is the best.

I think this book is very helpful. And easy to read. I can read a chapter a night when my son Christopher goes to sleep. I get lots of ideas and helpful things to help me get through the day.
