I started watching the anime before I started reading, and in a way the manga is like a step up, maturity-wise, for the older anime viewer. The series is still in anime territory, so if you've seen it you know what will happen, but it's leading up to some more good stuff, and it's going to be intriguing to see how it goes about getting there. I love the relationships between the meister and weapon, the structure of DWMA, and the other characters, such as Dr. Stein and Spirit, and Shinigami-sama is a hoot. I'm definitely going to be reading the rest of this series, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a bit of supernatural and a lot of silliness in one neat package.

Liked it there and now with it in book format of its own it is even more of a joy to read. I highly recommend picking this and the first volume up. Stark and detailed graphics, a plot line with surprises and continuity an overall joy to read.

The Soul Eater series is really really good and with such unique characters+designs, plot, story line and overall humor it's so totally worth buying new cause you'll not only want reread it again and again but you'll also want to admire the unique artwork that's found only in Soul Eater (as well as B.Ichi but that series already finished and we've all moved onto Soul Eater ;D).-that's a really long run-off sentence, but it just goes to show that this series is worth talking about :D
