About the Author

David Hulon Hood is a bundle of contradictions. He is a pastor and a poet who struggles day to day with the blurred lines between the presence of God's grace and the reality of major depression.

David is devoted to Christ, contemplative thought and prayer, his beautiful wife and sons, books, coffee and his goatee.

His writing and spiritual philosophies are heavily influenced by Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Eugene Peterson, Richard Rohr and Brennan Manning.
