Meet the Author

The moment Sandra Ross held her first romance novel when she was ten, she knew she was going to write romance. At thirty now, a prolific reader and a freelance writer, she's since then expanded her preferences from just romance to romance with a dash of now trending sub-genres—paranormal , fantasy, sci-fi even, and erotica. She loves challenging herself and would write on a dare. On a normal day, she would be found in her herb garden collecting spices for her kitchen or ingredients for her potions; in her huge eclectic Provencal kitchen with the big modern oven cooking pots and pans of food for her family of one husband and three kids (an ardent daughter and two boisterous sons) that'll probably last for weeks; in her library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an e-reader in her hands as she reads the latest erotic hit; or scribbling pages upon pages of different erotic lifestyles, searching for the one that feels like it was inspired by just the right mix of passion, story line, and sex. Aside from these activities, the rest of the time she'd be found in front of her laptop typing the latest Sandra Ross concoction for her readers.

Mystery and sexuality. It was a great one-evening reading. I really love fantastic books, they give me moments, when my imagination expands. It’s interesting when you read not about simple reality, which you can observe in your everyday life. I like to experience something different, something that is close to reality, but has some unexpected and strange things. “Soul Mates Kiss: Witching Call Part 1” has what I like – a part of some mysterious witches and other magical beings. Everything starts with Iliana Ravensworth’s trip. She has an important task – to find Marcus Swan and bring him to the council to educate his unusual gift. She expects it will be not the most pleasant trip and she hurries to come back to New York till her birthday. Everything goes wrong; she can’t go back, as the weather becomes very bad. She had to stay in Marcus’s castle. She’s a bit surprised with Marcus – he’s unbelievably handsome, strong, reach…. Here’s the culmination begins. In fact, it begins not so quick. I expected that the part when everyone knows what will happened between a handsome man and a beautiful woman in a beautiful house, to be a bit shorter. Anyway, then everything begins with the kiss. Amazingly touchable erotica starts. Try it, it’s a good reading – easy, sometimes funny and tempting.

Passionate and Loveable Story! In some point of our lives, we will eventually go searching for that special someone to become our ‘soul mate’. That particular individual is the only person who we can trust and share everything about ourselves. Once you find that person, you feel like you’ve already known him/her for quite some time now. In “Soul Mate Kiss: Witching Call Part 1”, Sandra Ross truly demonstrates to us that the passionate soul mate is closer than you think! She opens the story with the introduction of Lola, an intelligent, diligent, and young woman who has a great talent in writing as a book editor. She has a busy life in New York City and lives with her father, Davis who is an attorney. Unfortunately, her parents divorced long ago, but they are still supportive of their hard-working daughter. Lola meets this mysterious, but charming individual Marcus from the lively city of New Orleans. Once they meet, things went down! They are instantly attracted with each other and felt like they’ve known each other before. Lola couldn’t believe what was happening to her as she has never had this kind of experience with another individual. Can they really be soul mates? There characters are highly believable and you can instantly become attracted to any of them. It can help remind you the special time when you first met your lovely soul mate or put you in their situation for you to experience what’s it like to meet that special someone. The feelings felt real and the love scenes are breathtaking. Sandra Ross is known to write in a quick and simple paced way for us to easily understand the whole situation. And that’s exactly what you’ll find in this interesting story, “Soul Mates Kiss: Witching Call.”

I have so many good things to say about this book, I don’t really know where to start. Taking away the fact that I am a hopeless romantic, this book had me squealing with pleasure. Ross is very good at what she does. Soul Mates Kiss: Witching Call Part 1 by Sandra Ross is definitely now a part of my very favorite books in my Kindle. The book has intense erotica. As a genre on its own, erotica can be spread thin. Meaning, many people say they write erotica, but usually, it is just watered down sex scenes. With Sandra Ross, this is not so. She is very intense with her sex scene. Sandra Ross’ erotica is extremely thick. I think you will find yourself very much like I did, wanting some own action in your life. Another thing about this book that I loved, was Sandra Ross’ ability to write so simple. I have a hard time with authors who write so complexly that it turns me off the book. I did not have that problem with this book, neither did I have that problem with her other books. Her ability to write simply but still hold the attention of her reader shows a genius that not many people have. I really liked her character development and I know you will like it too. Another thing that I loved was that although this is an erotic book, there are bits of humor here and there that really lighten the mood. This book was a good read!

"Soul mate." This seems to be the term that's in vogue these days for that one particular person who enters your life and complements everything you do to full capacity, regardless of whether it's work, sex, play, family, music, travel, pets---you get the picture. Wow, where do I sign up? Seems to me that such an apt description is relegated to daydreams, afternoon soap operas, Bill Clinton, and romantic/erotic literature. In this particular case, the latter is highly accurate. And that's where Sandra Ross puts her considerable writing talents to good use with her book "Soul Mates Kiss: Witching Call Part 1." Ross introduces her readers to Lola, a striking blonde with a talent for writing and publishing. She works as a book editor in New York City, and lives with her father, Davis, an attorney who, like Lola, loves his work and is tolerant of her choices in life, especially where earning a living is concerned. Despite the fact that Lola's parents have been divorced for most of her life, they remain cordial and supportive of their daughter in all of her endeavors. "Soul Mates" opens with Lola and her father enjoying their morning breakfast ritual, which is an activity that reflects their staid, routine-oriented personas. Lola remarks to her father that she will be entertaining a new client, which doesn't seem to phase either of them, as Ross presents both characters as accepting of each other's choices in life. Ross provides her readers with sufficient foreshadowing that Lola comes across as a decent, grounded, focused young woman with enough ambition and self-initiative to accomplish whatever she sets out to do. Such a scenario seems unlikely to develop into one of Ross's steamier novellas. Yet that is what eventually happens, as she meets the mysterious Marcus, a gentleman with a unique and storied past. Marcus hails from New Orleans, which is where Lola flies in order to get to know him better on a professional level. Yet when they meet, they experience an instantaneous attraction---something that would not have necessarily occurred had they been back in New York. On the surface, Lola can not recall ever having encountered Marcus before. Yet Lola feels as if she has known him forever---and maybe they have! This is where the "soul mate" concept asserts itself. Ross makes suggestions throughout "Soul Mates" that there has been a near-continuous presence of deja vu for Lola, but Lola remains unaware of it---until certain events take place that start her thinking about who she is, what her own past is like, and how everything seems to tie in to meeting and eventually falling in love with Marcus. What is especially compelling in "Soul Mates" is Lola's pursuit of Marcus's past so that she can find answers to the incessant questions that arise within her psyche. Ross writes in a fast-paced style that keeps her readers interested in Lola's adventures in New Orleans and New York, as she is gradually immersed in Marcus's world. Some people argue that things happen for a reason. Perhaps such a claim is true. Perhaps it is what can be termed "fate." Others, such as myself, might attribute such happenstances as coincidence, and not necessarily assert that what takes place is "meant to be." Regardless of where her readers stand, Ross has written a highly interesting story that combines the fantastic with the boy-meets-girl theme of most of

I stopped reading after the first three chapters. The plot had potential but the writing was awkward (Its like the author was trying too hard to make the book "fancy". It wasn't.). The descriptions and dialogue were over done and I noticed many grammatical and tense errors without even searching. I tried to overlook the writing issues but I just couldn't keep reading. I think the author needs to hire a new proofreader, at least.

The author does have a good imagination but I am dizzy from all the misuses of tenses and other grammer mistakes. If she had a good proofreader and editor, this could have been a five star story. The mistakes that got by in the three stories I read were things that any literate person would have caught, so either the author is very young, or can't afford a proof reader.

Cute story. Not the type of book I usually read. I was surprised I enjoyed it. I wish it was longer. It was a story not a book. If the author put some time into it this could have been a good book with more detail. It was free so that made it better.

Not the best

Not very in depth book. Quick read that doesn't pull the reader in. Although the characters are interesting, the author didn't make this story very interesting.

The book itself is a wonderful story, sets up the couple beautifully. But, this can not truly be called a novel. It is novella length and depth. It gets you all set up for so much more, then leaves you exactly there wanting more.

I’m a bit of a picky reader when it comes to paranormal romance. I only want to read those that sweep me off my feet. That’s probably why I chose Sandra Ross’ Soul Mates Rise series. It’s intriguing and steamy at the same time—my kind of book! This is the fourth installment of the book. To give you a quick recap, Lola and Marcus are soul mates with special powers. When they joined together, the power magnified thus making them very powerful. Now there’s a threat to their bond. In this book, the story will focus more on Marcus’ family and past. The threat may be just within the family. Will Marcus and Lola be able to defend their love and bond or will evil break them apart? This book is filled with mystery and intrigue. It focuses a lot on Marcus. If you’ve read the first 3 books, this one would serve to compliment and fill in the gaps in the plot. I particularly like the sack session in between the cloak and dagger scenes. Sandra Ross never fails to leave her readers breathless and eager for more! The only downside I can think of this book is that I wish it was a big longer. Marcus has a lot of depth to his character (not to mention he’s as sexy as sin!). I would have loved to read (and fantasize) more about him. Other than that, the book is perfect. I would recommend this book to those who are into paranormal romance with a lot of action!

Love potion Things are not always what it seems and the average New Yorker would be shocked to know that there is an entire magical world living amongst them.   Lola Ravensworth was born into a magical family, her mother being a witch and she was born with powerful magical capability.  However, she chooses not to live the life she is supposedly destined to and she chooses to attempt to create and live a relatively normal life with her father, in New York.  Her mother is not entirely happy with her decision and neither is the Council of Magic but they let her live her life as she pleases until they have a mission for her – they need her to find a man called Marcus Swan. Marcus is an orphan and also has magical powers but he has no real idea about his heritage and about the magical world.  He has led a tough life but is now extremely successful, even though he always feels that he is lacking something… Lola is sent to find Marcus and bring him back to the Council.   Little does she know, this is a specific plot to reconnect Lola and Marcus, who are soul mates. This is the first part of a four part series and this gives Sandra Ross the space to gradually and deliciously unfurl the characters and the story line.   This is a story about love and soul mates but it is from a different angle and is mixed with magic – literally and figuratively.  I haven’t read the other three books yet but I cannot wait, this first part is intense fore play for a beautiful love story with some kind of dramatic twist.
