Overview

Have you ever wondered what it takes to find the love of your life? Is it your dream to find a life partner who will love, cherish, and adore you? The Soulmate Secret will show you how to take control of your romantic destiny by using the Law of Attraction. Translated into more than twenty languages, The Soulmate Secret has become an international phenomenon.

Now with a new preface and a new chapter filled with book-inspired success stories, this book shows finding true love is possible for anyone at any age if you are willing to prepare yourself, on all levels, to become a magnet for love. Arielle Ford knows this from experience. She used the techniques in this book to bring her soulmate into her life at age forty-four. They were engaged three weeks later.

This ancient formula reveals that our universe is set up to deliver the people and things into our lives that are consistent with our personal belief system. If you don't believe you will ever find the One, then guess what? You probably won't. If, however, you learn to believe that the One is not only out there but is also looking for you, then true love can be yours.

Using a series of processes called feelingizations—feeling in every cell of your being the outcome you want to create—Ford reveals how to manifest the man or woman of your dreams. The techniques, rituals, and projects found within these pages will allow you to prepare your home, body, mind, and spirit for the lover your heart truly desires.

From Barnes & Noble
Author Arielle Ford helped launch the careers of Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield, and Neale Donald Walsch, but she didn't discover her own soulmate until she was in her mid-40s. In The Soulmate Secret, she tells how readers can take control of their own romantic destiny whatever their age. An invigorating book for any woman who worries that the ship has already sailed.

Stefanie's Story: Brokenhearted and Disbelieving

I fell madly in love with someone who I believed with all my heart was The One. We had been friends for fifteen years before we began dating, and we fit together like hand and glove. He was an ambitious Hollywood producer, we were well matched in every way, and we had even started house shopping and discussing marriage. Then I found out he had been having an affair. My heart was so broken that I really thought it might stop beating. I had never cried so much over any breakup, because I really thought he was my soulmate. I decided then and there that all the good men were taken or at least not living in my city—maybe I needed to move? I had a hard time believing I would ever find someone who could really see (and love) all sides of me: the serious career woman, the playful girl, and the tender lover inside of me. I had given up.

[Stay tuned . . . this story has a very happy ending!]

Stefanie's story echoes what many of us have felt at some point in our lives. After a few (or many) bad relationships, it's so easy to shut down, give up, and stop believing that the right person is out there for us. Our hearts yearn to fall in love, but our minds insist it's not possible, and we enter into a tug-of-war with ourselves. It's as if one part of us is screaming, "Yes! I deserve a great relationship!" while another part insists, "I'llnever find him or her." When our beliefs contradict our desires, we experience an inner conflict that not only paralyzes us, but can actually prevent us from recognizing the possibilities for love that exist all around us.

The universal Law of Attraction states that we draw to us those people, events, and circumstances that match our inner state of being. In other words, we attract experiences that are consistent with our beliefs. If we believe that there is plenty of love in the world and we are worthy of giving and receiving that love, we will attract a different quality of relationships than someone who believes in scarcity or feels unworthy of happiness. If we believe the world is a loving and friendly place, then most of the time that will be our experience. If we believe the world is a chaotic, stressful, and fearful place, then eventually that will become our reality. So, believing and knowing that your soulmate is out there is a critical first step in the formula for manifesting him or her into your life.

If you do not yet believe with 100 percent certainty that your soulmate is out there, you must begin to look for evidence that will make a believer out of you. When deep down in the core of your being you believe that your soulmate exists, there is no limit to the ways he or she can enter your life. Take for example my friend Trudy, who, while searching for the perfect cantaloupe, met her husband in the produce aisle of a Whole Foods market. Or Patricia, a former colleague, whose best friend practically had to drag her out of bed to go to a party, where she ended up meeting her future husband by the coat check. What about the experience of Gayle Seminara-Mandel, whose story you'll read in a subsequent chapter? Sporting a post-facial blotchy face and sweatpants, she ended up working out next to her future husband on the exercise bikes at the gym where she found herself on a dateless New Year's Eve. Sean Roach, whose story you will also read, was flying back from a three-week trip to Australia, wondering if he would ever find the right woman to marry and start a family with. After an argument erupted in the aisle, he stood up to defend the flight attendant from the harsh words of a rude passenger and found himself gazing into the eyes of his future wife. Do you think Englishman David Brown had any way of knowing he would one day wake up with a cell-phone number running through his head, send a text message to it, and end up striking up a friendship with the owner of the phone that would ultimately blossom into love?

The point is, it is not necessary for you to know how or where or when your soulmate will appear. Your only work right now is to begin to nurture the belief that he or she exists and that you will find each other when the time is right.

You also need to begin to dismantle some of the negative beliefs about yourself that you may have unknowingly collected over the years. For example, deep down inside, do you believe you are loveable? If you are reading this, then I am certain you are lovable. Why? Because lovable people always want more love in their lives. But if you believe you are not lovable, you must start to challenge that belief. I know many very attractive, successful, single people who have some very negative, limiting beliefs when it comes to finding their soulmates. Their list usually goes something like this:

I'm too old.

I'm too fat.

I'm too damaged.

I have too much baggage.

I'm not successful enough.

I'm too successful.

All the good ones are taken.

Nobody I am interested in would be interested in me.

These are just knee-jerk excuses that keep us stuck. There is plenty of evidence that love is available to everyone regardless of age, weight, income, or any of the other factors that we believe limit us. Regardless of our personal histories in relationships, we can choose to adopt the belief that everything we've been through has been but preparation for finding our true love.

My friend Linda Sivertsen, after grieving the end of her nineteen-year marriage at the age of forty-three, is living proof that believing the love you desire exists is the first essential step to drawing it into your life.

Linda's Story

The Second-Chances Prophetic Treasure Map

It was springtime, and things had never seemed better between my husband and me. Was it the beautiful weather or the passing of time that was mellowing my blustery alpha male? He no longer seemed so easily angered or quick to find fault with me. He no longer yelled or called me names or threatened to leave at the smallest disagreement—well, not that often anyway. I've read that increases in estrogen and decreases in testosterone have a calming effect on men as they get older. Thank you, middle age. If harmony is what you bring, I'm happy to trade in the roller-coaster highs and lows for a few wrinkles.

Big Lovin' for single and non-singles alike

I'm happily dating my boyfriend of almost two years now, and I am certainly in no rush to find anybody new. I am also still ambivalent on the whole notion of soulmates. <BR/><BR/>That being said, I was surprised to find myself LOVING reading "The Soulmate Secret"! Though this book should be prioritized to your most lovelorn gal pals, this user-friendly book is loaded with a lot of feel-good, inspirational advice that will tremendously help not only single people, but people in relationships as well. Even if you are not currently seeking a romantic companion, you will at least get a great warm-and-fuzzy vibe from the absolutely wonderful this-is-how-we-met anecdotes interspersed throughout the book. <BR/><BR/>Arielle has plenty of interesting and original activities suggested here, and it goes beyond the obvious advice that we've all heard before. (Go out more, do volunteer work, blah-blah.) I love this book because Arielle (who certainly practices what she preaches) is telling you in big bold letters: Stop moaning, stop waiting, GET TO WORK! Time to feng-shui your bedroom, treasure-map your goals, de-clutter your space, de-baggage all your emotional B.S., visualize and feelingize all the happiness and love you truly deserve in life. Again, these techniques are applicable to singles and non-singles alike. We all need self-improvement when it comes to self-lovin'. <BR/><BR/>Whether you truly believe her techniques will work or not, at the very least you'll finish "Soulmate Secret" with a higher self-esteem and a very organized living space. What could possibly be sexier than that?<BR/><BR/>Arielle Ford talks about her book here: <BR/>http://www.intent.com/podcasts/2009/01/05/manifesting-your-soulmate-arielle-ford

    Find Your Love

The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction focuses on the obvious--how to find your soulmate. If you have read THE SECRET, you will be familiar with the concept of manifestation, or the law of attraction. Arielle Ford does a marvelous job at providing very doable exercises to help you manifest the love of her life.<BR/><BR/>I've been practicing the law of attraction for years and not many books cover what Ford refers to as "feelingization"--basically, you feel what it's like to be in the place (in love) you desire. This technique works really well.<BR/><BR/>Ford writes: "If you learn to believe that the One is not only out there but is also looking for you, then you open the door for true love to enter."<BR/><BR/>Ford goes beyond most law of attraction books by incorporating Feng Shui, clutter removal and space clearing. As a designer and long-time manifester, I can assure you these techniques work. She does a decent job of describing these things, but if you wish to learn more about Feng Shui, clutter removal, space clearing and even green tips, I recommend HARMONIOUS ENVIRONMENT: BEAUTIFY, DETOXIFY & ENERGIZE YOUR LIFE, YOUR HOME & YOUR PLANET to take you even further. As a designer, I use the techniques all the time with my clients and see powerful results.<BR/><BR/>Ford tells her story of love and careers and how she manifested her true love. There are many manifestation success stories throughout the book. Ford includes a very doable action plan for the reader to use to manifest.

Manifesting the love of your life!

A great thing about this book is that it keeps it simple. Finding great love should not be hard, though sometimes it is the hardest thing to do. The author implements the law of attraction in order to manifest your soulmate. It's a good read and explains a lot about how to do so.

    Practical Advice for Soulmate Seekers

In The Soulmate Secret, Arielle Ford shares anecdotes and advice behind attracting one's soulmate. Using the Laws of Attraction, she lays out a framework for the soul seeker to attract one's match. The principles are the most basic, but the information is good, which is why I recommend it to anyone who wants to find true love. Some of the advice is to: fall in love first with oneself, forgive yourself and others, clear away old emotional, physical and spiritual clutter, make a list of the qualities you seek in your perfect match, listen to intuition, meditate on how you would feel if you had found your soulmate, and perhaps most importantly, take action. Also, one must realize that not only does one need to be completely ready for this person, but one's soulmate must be completely ready for him/her. One should enjoy life in the meantime, knowing he/she is already complete and fulfilled. Good luck to all soulmate seekers out there!

    I love this book

I have been single for six years. My heart has been closed. Someone opened it and then proceeded to shatter it. Rather than close up again, I want to believe in what is possible for me. So I bought this book. I remain optimistic that there is someone out there for me.
