Overview

When Sam Blake walks into The Quarter Note, the bar that Megan McGuire and her father own, they are in desperate need of an entertainer. Sam's statement that "I've been told I'm a pretty good guitar player" is an understatement. He's not only good, he's soon drawing in customers and changing their financial situation. He's also enticing Megan in ways she doesn't understand. She doesn't want to get involved a man who will take off any day. She doesn't want to get involved with any musician. After all, she made that mistake once, and as much as she loves her ten-year-old son, she's older and wiser now. Or is she?

Set in the resort area of Shady Lake, Michigan, its more than the summer heat that has Megan questioning the crazy desire Sam so easily ignites.

Originally published in the mid-80s by Harlequin Temptation, Sounds Like Love has been revised and updated, yet maintains the sensuous romantic theme of the original story.

Meet the Author

Maris Soule was born and raised in California, but a red-head with blue eyes talked her into moving to Michigan--for just a couple of years. Way too many years later, she's still married to that man, has two grown children, two granddaughters, and still lives in Michigan (except when she heads for Florida to avoid the cold). Always a reader, Soule began writing romances back in the early 80s, and over the years had 25 published by Harlequin, Silhouette, and Bantam, several winning awards, including 2 being finalists for RWA's RITA. Always a fan of mystery and suspense novels, Soule wove suspense into many of her romances, but finally she decided to reverse the trend. Her two P.J. Benson "Crow" mysteries, (The Crows and As The Crow Flies) weave a bit of romance in with the mystery. Most of her books involve animals, and the Rhodesian Ridgeback in The Crow books is named after a Ridgeback she raised, trained, and showed years ago.
