Meet the Author

Arthur Agatston, M.D., is a preventive cardiologist, associate professor of medicine, and the author of the bestselling The South Beach Diet and many companion books, including The South Beach Diet Cookbook and The South Beach Diet Supercharged. In 2004, he founded the nonprofit Agatston Research Foundation for the purpose of conducting research on diet, cardiac health, and disease prevention, and he has published more than 100 scientific articles and abstracts in medical journals including the American Journal of Cardiology and the Annals of Internal Medicine. Arthur lives with his wife in Miami Beach, Florida. Stephen Hoye has won thirteen AudioFile Earphones Awards and two prestigious APA Audie Awards, including one for the New York Times bestseller Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki. A graduate of London's Guildhall and a veteran of London's West End, Stephen has recorded many other notable titles, such as Every Second Counts by Lance Armstrong and The Google Story by David A. Vise and Mark Malseed. Coleen Marlo is an accomplished actor who has appeared on stage, in film, and on television, and is a member of the prestigious Actors Studio. I highly recommend. I read the first southbeach diet book and followed it as a weight loss book, but I quickly lost interest. But after reading Wake Up, it all came together for me. It's not a weight loss book but a lifestyle book andthe weight loss just happens. It's so simple to feel good and look good.
