This book houses a collection of beautiful photography from one of the nations premier photographers. While the reproduction process is lacking in consistency, the book displays the true beauty that Steve McCurry is able to capture with his camera. The color is absolutely amazing, as well as his ability to show so much in a person's face. If you enjoy Steve McCurry's work, I do not think you will be dissapointed with this edition.
I love the work of Steve McCurry in Portraits so much that I had my name on the waiting list waiting for this book to be published. I was disappointed in the quality of the photographs some are grainy and the color is of poor quality in others. I have to believe that this is due to lack of quality publishing and not to the work of this wonderful photographer.
