    Book with an identity crisis

While this may be an interesting concept, combining family history with recipes, the narrative got in the way of the recipes and took away from the ease of use a cookbook should have. I was also disappointed because a recipe the author was describing in a story at one point did not even end up giving the recipe! I would not recommend this book.

Liked the stories more than the recipes

Stories were sweet but the recipes had tons of ingredients and I just don't have that much patience. Worth the small investment I suppose if you're a fan of stories about southern trafitions or recipes.
